Anything in Trastevere is going to be pricey, so we were ready for that. It was a blistering afternoon and the thought of sitting in a shady garden tempted us to choose Romolo. The reception was pleasant and welcoming , the server was a little...More

Good food, prepared according to Roman tradition. What makes the place particularly interesting is the nice internal yard (very romantic), so you can eat open air, and yet away from traffic noise. Staff is friendly and prices are fair.

Hidden gem! We were told about this restaurant by other travellers during our Amalfi visit. We are huge foodies as my partner is a chef so we have high expectations! They def met ours! We still talk about the sage ravioli! It was to die...More

This place was recommended in a 20 year old guide book so we decided to try (well if it's lasted that long!). We had a table in the garden and surrounded by Italians which I took as a good sign. A bottle of Prosecco was...More

I ate at this restaurant years ago and sadly it was much much better than than now. The menu is very basic but all the food is delicious. The wine list is essentially non existant and they offer just a few wines but nothing special....More

Thus restaurant is located in the heart of Trastevere. It had been 3 years since we had visited this area and I was amazed at the number of young 20-30 year olds lining the atreets. The restaurant has a lovely garden in the back which...More

Our family of 4 (17 yr old son and 10 yr old daughter) ate at Romolo for Christmas Dinner and had so much fun. Our waiter didn't speak any English and we didn't speak a whole lot of Italian but that just made our experience...More

Our waiter provided excellent service and recommended a great wine to go with our meal. The food was flavorful and well cooked. We had prawns with pischacio cream and amatriciana both of which were good pasta dishes. The space is cozy and warm. There were...More

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
