I found this place when on a random walk with my wife in Rome and I was so happy to find out that this place has a lot of history and serve authentic food. As soon as you get in the place you feel like at home and the servers are incredibly nice. We ordered two appetizer and two first... More

We tried the classic meatballs ' polpette di nona' and they were tender with top quality meat. The codfish was acceptable. We all agreed that the pastas were very bland.... truth be said we did not try her famous gnocchi. The ice cream is a real treat - creamy and every spoonful cried homemade!! The service started off with a... More

It all started well. The food was pretty good. Tasty pasta, authentic and homemade. However, once we finished our main that was it. No service. In fact I've had time to write this review whilst waiting for the bill (after thinking about what to write for 30 minute)..... Still waiting....A good meal spoilt!

I was very disappointed to find out that one of the most traditional dishes in Rome, pasta alla carbonara, was removed from the menu. As being a traditional restaurant in Rome they should have la carbonara in their menu

We were so lucky to have found Sora Lella. We actually were just passing by this restaurant one night and a local standing outside told us that the food is some of the best in Rome and that he brings his parents here every time they visit from Milan. We walked in, took a reservation for the next day, and... More

This place is all I love. Small, lovely, excellent service, prices accordingly, and the cuisine... everything we wanted!

Have just returned from dinner here feeling hugely disappointed (and a bit ripped off!). Last night of our holiday so we thought we'd treat ourselves to dinner here based on the reviews, and went for the tasting menu with wine flight. Food was not great - don't go if you want any vegetables with your meal! First two courses bland... More

We had 3 courses each and loved every one - the meat was fresh, pasta homemade and the atmosphere is lovely. This was recommended through friends and was our favourite meal in Rome. The wine is lovely - try the house red!

We were searching for a place for lunch and remembered seeing this place on TV. It was even better than we expected. The appetizers and pasta were delicious and the tiramisu was they best we had in Italy.

Recommended by our hotel reception, we were looking for some real Roman cooking in a place where Romans eat. This is one of those restaurants. It is, apparently, famous in Italy because of the family who founded it and still run it. Service was excellent, well judged and not too pushy. The menu is relatively small but the food is... More
