We have just spent two weeks in Tuscany and a week in Rome and this is by far the best restaurant we have found. Menu was different to the vast bulk of what Rome appears to offer, with a good selection of choices, all very...More

Thought the food was great. We had a few appetizers like the chicken liver pate and carpaccio. Followed that with 3 different pastas that the owner assured us went together. Followed that with 3 main dishes. Each one was delicious but the pork was amazing....More

Located in a building that goes back 2000 plus years, one that was old before the coliseum was built, this restaurant is a wonder. The food is great, including a dish dated back to caesar's camp cook (not vegas, the idea of march carsar). Highlycommended

We picked this restaurant for a recent birthday celebration, as it is a fave of Rachael Ray and her husband, John. We were curious to see the wine celler (older than the Colosseum!). This restaurant is located in the fun "Trastevere" neighborhood and is worth...More

Celebrated my birthday with great wine in the ancient wine cellar. They made a special place for us. Had buffalo mozzarella, fusilli, pork and applesauce and chocolate cake. Had a great time talking with the owner and his son! We shared many laughs and stories...More

The restaurant website boasts that Spirito Divino is "perhaps the most romantic place in the City". So, a perfect place for an anniversary dinner? Not so, unfortunately. Despite the later booking of 9pm the restaurant was overrun with boisterous kids - all under 5. Nothing...More

Just a great place to enjoy the ambiance and character of a family run restaurant. The food was very good and a nice wine list. Best of all, you take your wine down to the centuries old cellar and soak in the atmosphere. A small...More

The owner was very helpful to explain the dishes. The food was very good. He even told us the history of the building - that t was a synagogue hundreds of years ago and he let us go down to the wine cellar! it was...More

This is a family run restaurant with Romeo and his son front of house and his wife in the kitchen and it shows - everything is done with care and passion. The menu is tight and interesting, focussing on 'slow food' recipes - one cooked...More

This was our absolute favorite restaurant out of our grand tour of Italy! The cellar is amazing and the food is amazing. This is a sweet and beautiful family run restaurant. The father and son run the front of the house, while the mom is...More

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
