The place is popular for a reason, their coffee is perfectly prepared and fortunately you can also buy the beans for home use. However it can get very busy and I just felt bad for the single waiter servicing more than ten tables. Nonetheless he...was charmingly Italian the whole time. The inside staff wqs somewhat moodier, especially with the ones shopping a bit too long but their merchandising is definitely worth the browsing and the impatient gestures.More
Nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee
Service though although polite was very slow since there was only 1 waiter for at least 15 tables
Obviously he cannot serve, clean and take orders and deliver bills simultaneously
Ordered shaked coffee which it...was OK
Greek fredo espresso is better in my opinion
Should have opted for a cappuccinoMore
I bought 1kg of Sant Eustachio coffee beans only to find on bringing them home to London, their quality poor - almost zero aroma, stale smell, hardly any taste - certainly not fresh. Not what you would expect for a whopping €25!! (I actually spent...€70 in total there)
Expensive yet most unsatisfying (even after several cups), I contacted the head office, who responded immediately, but eventually justified the batch freshness and that nothing was wrong with them and refused any kind of refund or even gesture. They did say sorry, but it felt rather empty without any actual gesture for "there is nothing we can do". Not impressed. I know what good fresh coffee and beans should taste like. I also expect better customer service as standard. The beans will sadly find their way into the bin soon as really they really are substandard, from a company who pride themselves and their brand on authenticity and quality. Such a shame.More
We followed the recommendations of out hostess (and those of Trip Advisor) and stopped at this café to have a taste of a "real" Italian coffee.
I chose a Monachella, which is one of their specialties (it's a mix of dark chocolate and coffee) with..."panna" (never had whipped cream so light before!) : it lived up to its reputation, it was really good.
My husband had an Elite café, very strong but really good as well.
It is expensive though, 3,90€ for a tiny espresso might feel a but exaggerated but I'd still go back and recommend it for anyone wishing to live the Roman experience to the fullest.
And the staff was efficient and friendly - making efforts to speak English to us.More

You truly missed out. You pay 5 Euro to have table service. Or you can get your coffee standing up in the cafe without paying for the table. In most of Italy there is no tipping required, but if you are going to be served, you will most likely encounter a service fee. This is standard for all of Italy.
