We had the honor to dine here on the evening of Wednesday, November 30th. We had just checked into our lovely Testaccio AirBnB and decided to wander this incredible neighborhood in search of dommer. Upon spotting Da Oio a Casa Mia (with only a couple of empty tables), my partner and I looked at each other and were like, "We've... More

We were there for lunch. The pace is nothing special but the service was good, specially a nice friendly waiter. We had "Coratella d'abbacchi, rigatoni alla carbonara and rigatoni con sugo di coda, water and house wine". We liked our meal but too expensive for what you get. Anyway better then other places.

This trattoria offers typical roman traditional food, served by typical roman waiters. You should neither expect pizza hawaii or spagetti bolognaise, nor overfriendly service here. Our plates were very tasty and well done and the waiters were cordial and a little rude, as it should be. Especially the tonnarelli cacio e pepe were worth a mention. The price is not... More

I have a garden at home and the grilled peppers here taste like they were picked today. I actually ate here thrice because the first time was so good. The rigatoni carbonara is amazing but the second time I got the tonnatelli cacio e Pepe And it was so amazing I actually ordered it a second time 3 hours later... More

We decided to eat here because it seemed to be full of local people enjoying their food and having a good time. However, our main courses were virtually cold when they arrived at the table, despite being brought out only about 30 seconds after we had finished our starter. Compared to the other two restaurants we ate in during the... More

This place was busy - it seems a lot of people like it, but all in all I thought it was thoroughly mediocre. I had chicken here and it was a touch colder than lukewarm, and greasy. into the bargain. And it's expensive, too - you can get a much better meal for a lot less nearby. Also the service... More

We ate here two days in a row. Service is wonderful. This is a great family-run restaurant and all the staff are friendly and helpful. They were especially accommodating of us with a baby. The food was delicious. Great local food. Definitely recommend - AND they accept you for dinner by 7:30 p.m. (even before if I remember correctly!) unlike... More

The very best cacio e Pepe I ever eat. Fiats dishes and appetizer are really really good, service and second dishes ain't that bad, not even special though. Price is reasonable. Don't drink wine, they don't have a real winery, they just keep bottles stuffed on shelves

We stopped here for lunch and I have to say that i was a bit disappointed: the mixed salad was poor, the pasta was nice but the staff was not that friendly in comparison to the rest I met in Rome. If you are interested in eating extraordinary stuff you should go there because they have ox-tail food.

Thank Mar I

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
