It was a chilly night and we wanted somewhere cosy and authentic. We loved this little restaurant which fitted the bill perfectly. The menu was hand written in Italian which neither of us speak, but the waiter was happy to help us make a choice. He also recommended a lovely wine. The food was hot and delicious and we thought... We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel during our 2 day stay, and we must say that the food was great and so was the ambience. Would recommend to anyone.

Food and wine were great, fresh, and local, the atmosphere cozy and creative, though the prices were a bit more like Rome than Bologna. Would certainly return again.

A small restaurant and a small menu. However, food is excellent. I didn't understand the menu selection of Antipasta, then 1 and 2 and desserts. Anyway I chose the tagliatelle Bolognese which was lovely but should have chosen the 2 which is the main course and larger helping. Owner is a nice guy, but a bit lively. Just not what... More

The fresh mushroom salad as an appetizer may have been the best I have had, but the meal went downhill from there. It was OK though, as was the service. Bathrooms are a bit scary (need cleaning) and the price is a tad high for what you get, including a 3 € per person cover charge.

We chose this restaurant for its nice look and appealing traditional menu, and because during the weekend the center of Bologna is pedestrianised, we enjoyed an outdoor meal under the scenic 'portici' of the medieval town. I had a tuna tartare for starter, which was fresh and nice, and artichoke and truffle ravioli for main, which were very tasty but... More

Very, very close to the "Towers of Bologna" is the hidden gem of this bustling city, "La Taverna di Roberto"...proper Italian food in the 'bread basket' of Italy...absolutely superb and made even better by the lovely Roberto and his team...not to be missed if you are in Bologna!!!

This is a great little restaurant, it has lots of hidden secret places and obviously a lot of history. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and the food was great. I have nothing but good things to say, give it a try...you wont be disappointed!

The great traditional cuisine of this restaurant is a must in Bologna. The friendly atmosphere is very enjoyable for group of Ladies of all ages, who are attended with a touch of class by the owner Roberto and by chef Francesco. Their very cool friends and customers complete this perfect dinner venue. Andrea and Sarah.

Could not fault Roberto for his help with the menu and his recommendations, food was really good and fairly priced. A really nice evening and will definitely recommend to friends.
