Stumbled across this tucked away gem during our last night of a week long vacation. Really enjoyed the Veal and the Tortellini's. Tiramisu was amazing. House red wine was quality too. Definitely give this my recomendation. Felt comfortable and appreciated.

We reserved ahead for our meal at Buca Manzoni over Easter, it was worth booking, very nice traditional decor, lovely food, decent house wine - good reasonable prices and good service. I would seek it out again if I was in Bologna.

During our 3 night stay in Bologna, we ate here twice, after an initial recommendation by our hotel staff. The trattoria offers a simple traditional but wide ranging menu. For those like me with a gluten allergy, there is a limited choice, but the gluten free tagliatelle was excellent especially when served with the traditional Bolognese ragù sauce. The staff... More

Visited this restaurant three times during our stay as the food was good and the atmosphere lively. Favourite dish was the roast pork and baked potatoes

This restaurant was literally around the corner from our hotel (Grand Hotel Majestic) and having arrived in Bologana a few hours earlier we thought this would be a good place to try. We had a salad to star which could have done with some love - it was basically some lettuce, half a tomato and some grated carrot. We then... More

Good food, served in a vaulted restaurant setting. Don't be put off by the clutter decorating the restaurant nor the menus which are in need of an upgrade. The food is good and our waiter was pleasant and knowledgable.

We had been Cattedrale di San Pietro on Via Dell'Indipendenza and walked down Via Manzoni towards another church which it turned out had just closed for the noon hour. We continued down Via Manzoni and realized that this establishment was one that we had eaten it on past visits to Bologna. Since it was the lunch hour we peaked in... More

The pasta was very good. The salad and desert somewhat disappointing, as well as the service (staff doesn't speak English).

We booked for a group, once arrived our is table wasn't ready and we had to wait in the middle of other tables, not convenient for us nor for the other customers. The menu is really short, just a few dishes each course, we prevented that there were vegetarians but the owner seemed to have forgotten it; in any case... More
