We visited this cafe twice, having cappuccinos and desserts inside, in the back room with locals one night, and then returned another day to have cappuccinos and pastries at their outdoor tables one afternoon. This cafe added one euro to the charge of each cappuccino for having table service, but added nothing to the cost of the pastries. So for... More

We visited this pasticceria on a Sunday morning which is obviously a busy day for this type of establishment. Many locals were making their choices of the wonderful display of cakes and pastries. The price for two cups of coffee and two pastries was less than 5 euros something you would never get in the UK. It was nice watching... More

Pasticceria Santo Stefano in Bologna offers a wide range of delicious, homemade cakes, brioches, tramezzinies / sandwiches. You can sit outside by good weather and consume coffee as well as wine and different long and soft drinks.

Fantastic patisserie/cafe with tables and chairs outside. On our first visit I tried a little pastry/cake made with lots of nuts and covered in honey, which was lovely but no where near as nice as the Sachetorte that my husband had. Absolutely delicious. On our second visit I tried a different cake, which had fresh cream and fruit on, which... More

A short distance from the two towers this pasticceria makes great coffee and has wonderful cakes. Their heavy solid chocolate and their rice cakes were wonderful.

Wherever we travel, I seek the best local bakery. In Bologna, this is the one! Croissants sesame crusted, apple filled pastry, chocolate cake my wife went nuts over, plus at lunch time they serve great sandwiches and pizza. Locals abound here; they know where to find the best.

We had breakfast there 4 days in the row, each day looking forward to great cappuccino and rich pastry choice. One can also enjoy lunches same place. Most guests take their coffee an cornetto or brioche standing or sitting in the rather small front room, but there is an additional big room next to the first one, where the breakfast... More

Good coffee, pastries. Fast and efficient service. Good for a quick pit - stop while downtown during the day.
