A mix of tourists and locals. A friendly but rather forthright lady (owner?) who we felt was perhaps rather determined that we should eat the days specials. However she took our a la carte order promptly and efficiently. Food was good and atmosphere comfortable.

Atmosphere was great, even tho it was busy due to Emia visitors, the lady owner was very friendly and gave us some recommendations, we ordered pasta to start, the most amazing lasagne I have ever tasted. We then ordered are second plates after I had lamb and my husband had bolanaise, which was different both were nice. House red wine... More

We were recommended to go to Osteria la Traviata by our hotel - and were not disappointed. We had wonderful, fresh, local food which was just what we were looking for in Bologna. We had hoped to get into one of the 'fancy' restaurants nearby, like the 3 Michelin star Osteria Francescana, but it was impossible to get a reservation.... More

The typical italian trattoria serving regional food: tortellini, tagliatelle, bollito all delicious as you expect. Portions are on the small side and some dishes are served in fancy contemporary shapes, I would get rid of them and serve the good honest food in the traditional white italian porcelain. Overall I would go back. Book in advance in particular at weekends... More

We were hesitant at first to enter this restaurant as nobody was there when it opened at 8. But five minutes later, locals started going in and it was almost filled by the time we left. It was our first meal on this trip to Italy and we were not sure about being able to share a course. They were... More

Family owned, and focused very much on Bolognese style pasta, (very thin, so lasagna, tortollini, tagliatelle etc.). Sometimes the tortollinos are prepared in front of you by the lady owner. The pasta was delicious and perfectly cooked. You have the option of making your own menu choice or being guided by the owner. We chose the latter and were not... More

Ate here on a recommendation from a local and TA reviews. The lady owner basically choose our starter mixed fritto. The plate for 4 of us was quite sad looking. Our mains of pasta all tasted ok, we have eaten much better but the main downfall was the portion sizes, they were very small. I didn't even want pasta, I... More

Make sure you book in advance and details there soon after it opens. Forget the menu the lady owner will tell you want on that night and it is all good. Be warned if you have the mixed meats appetiser for 2 it is huge we went there twice this trip and no one finished it, All the pasta dishes... More

We visited this place following the recommendation of a local. We weren't at all disappointed. This is a family restaurant centrally located. We ordered the tagliatelle with ragú and the tortellini filled with ragú. Both dishes were fantastic. Service was excellent and the food was very affordable. Would definitely recommend and consider going back

A nice restaurant serving traditional bolognese food. The service is simply perfect, greatly contributing to the experience. The lady was presenting the food very emotionally in Italian and when comprehension was insufficient, her English was good enough to clarify everything. A friendly advice - try to comunicate with as little English as possible... for once I do not envy those... More
