Bologna is one of the food capitals of Italy. There are 19 regions in Italy and each offers its own cuisine. That is why it makes little sense to talk about "Italian cuisine" because there is no such thing. Tuscan food or Umbria food or Roman food or Neapolitan or Sicilian and so forth are all very different from one... More

We were recommended by the hotel to this trattoria and we really enjoyed it. It was authentic and only with local people as it's out of the touristic center. All dishes were tasty and prices were very reasonnable, the staff was friendly and attentive. Our best meal in Bologna and surely a good value for money. Recommended!

The restaurant has not changed in over 40 years ... maybe more ... and it shows very well. The food is typical from Bologna and "bolliti" dishes are delicious. But the look do not allow you to taste the cuisine at 100%.

Some friend suggested me this old restaurant for the classic Bolognese Tortellini with meat and was a good suggestion.

This place is a bit of a time warp , or traditional depends on how you look at it. A family run affair with local Bolognese food all of which looks good. We had a mix a pasta and a veal dishes with sides all of which were flavoursome. We had a great little half bottle of Sangiovese We both... More

A long standing family run trattoria that hasn't changed in 30 years - and it shows. Ordinary food, wine and service relying on old reputation and no decent competition in a dull neighbourhood. Ok if you don't feel like walking another mile for better, more imaginative food. But no bargain despite the mediocrity.

On Bologna again for an exhibition, and after having such a great experience 2 years ago we decided to return to Da Bertino. The food was traditional, regional food, homemade pasta, and the meat trolley being a great main course.... Ask for a selection of meats to fully experience the course. If you've managed to make it through the courses... More

When you come here, you will feel that you have never been to such a "family restaurant" before. You will not forget it. Seems that the time is stopped here. They serve a very good meat - bollito di carne. Although other courses were too salted. Come here for meat and pasta. And for "spettacolo"!. Grazie.

We returned to Da Bertino and were not disappointed. The restaurant is famed in Bologna for its “carrelli” the carts with boiled meats, grilled meats and desserts. Superb quality in all of them, and the signature Bolognese tortellini are heavenly too. Friendly family service, reasonable prices and if you love pure and simple Italian cuisine, an experience you’ll never forget.
