I came here for dinner with my wife after a long and stressful day of traveling. The first thing I must say is, I was blown away with the quality of the food. Every stereotype you've heard about good Italian cooking, is true in this place - great ingredients, cooked masterfully, producing an AMAZING meal. First I had the starter,... More

A good small restaurant in Parma city center. Italian meal served there is perfect, it looks nice and the taste is perfect! But we are in Parma and prices are not so soft...

Great food - had Parma meats and cheese plate - DELISH! Husband had risotto and I had ravioli. Risotto was good but ravioli was AMAZING. Service was good, too.

Found this by chance. Visited 3 evenings on our 5 night stay in Parma. Highly recommended. Tried 3 different Italian red wines, all very good at 15 or 16 Euros a bottle, far better quality than you might expect at the price. Only a small bistro, approx. 20 places. Had home made Fragole (strawberry) Tiramisu, delicious. Welcoming friendly service, great... More

Six tables. The husband cooks and the wife is the server. Excellent local specialties. They also offer a nice selection of fresh seafood. Everything prepared with care, from beautiful salads and grilled vegetables to pork scallopine with a choice of sauces, a lovely mixed grill and well done mussels and swordfish. Nice wine list. A very complete meal for four,... More

We thought we would check this place out due to the proximity to our hotel and the reviews on trip advisor and we were blown away. I could go on and on about each course, the wine, the Balsamico, the service, but I won't. If you visit Parma and don't eat here you are missing out on a wonderful experience.

I went back to this restaurant last week with a small work-group, previously I have been there with my wife. It is small (6 tables I think), but it definitely punches well above it's weight, hospitality, presentation, flavours and wine are all outstanding. I will be back.

We've lived in Italy for 3 years and stumbled across this little gem for lunch one Sunday. Our family of 5 all order pasta. Restaurant speciality appears to be tortelli. I had the tortelli with chards and butter parmesan, others had tortelli with fungi, tortelli with bologna sausage. We also had a dish of gnochhi with cheese and a plain... More

This little family-run restaurant is not far from the railway station. I started my meal with the best tomato bruschetta I've ever eaten while my husband chose a local cheese served with honey and candied fruits - equally good. Our veal with creamy porcini sauce was not to the same standard as the starters but the price was very modest.... More

L'Oca Nera is a small restaurant downtown Parma. The building and the dinning room are not very attractive but you can taste Italian food of good quality for an average cost (according to the standards in Parma, which is quite an expansive city). As the restaurant is small, it is advisable to book before coming, expecially if you are coming... More
