We ate here twice and it was good. Not amazing but so friendly and the food was decent that we went back. Nice wine.

Ate here a couple of times as part of a large group. Centrally located and great value. The food was delicious, service was speedy and waiters were both friendly and patient. We had to change the number of diners more than once and the staff were very accommodating.

Pizzas are mostly average, but biaciola (sorry if pronounced wrong) is amazing, the waiters are great, especially the serbian waiter, we have goten our food fast, and the carbonada was slightly worse than the other food, my friend and i didnt like it.

Our second visit to Al Barattolo on a return trip to Trieste, both times for dinner. Sit outside by the Grand Canal close to two impressive cathedrals & the sea. It's always busy with a mix of tourists & locals - many with their well behaved dogs tucked under the table - a real family feel. One waiter speaks especially... More

We had late dinner in this restaurant recommended by our hotel´s Victoria reception as a good fresh fish and meat restaurant. And it certainly was! Our starters, main course and dessert came in just on right time. I was wondering that one waiter did not exit the dinner room, just took orders and write them on his small mobile like... More

That's the summary of Al Barattolo. It's in the prime tourist location. There are way too many people in this restaurant. The place was recommended by our host so we took her advice. Food was decent and moderately priced. Don't expect something out of the world. Staff was in hurry always as there were far too many tables to attend... More
