Average experience at Trattoria da Sandro, but by no means a bad experience. There are other restaurants in Vernazza that are better options. The fried seafood medley was good but they state up front it does not include anchovies, which are a specialty in Vernazza. The waiter does get points for explaining that before you decide the dish so you... More

We ate here our last night in Vernazza. The waiter treated us like we were something he wanted to scrape off his shoe from receiving our menus to paying our bill. He was extremely rude. It was shockingly bad. It was a quiet night and they did not have more than 3 tables occupied at any time. I would have... More

Our last night in Vernazza and wanted something really nice, the seafood risotto was exceptional. This was slightly wetter than most risottos I have had but just found myself wanting more, it was so good. Have seen in a couple of places in Italy since and they just didn't have the seafood included that this pace did. Service was good,... More

Our BnB host recommended this place. Food was very tasty, and they have many local Vernazza specialties on the menu. The staff working there are very nice, and gave us a nice home made limoncello cream as a digestivo. Came back again the 2nd night.

Sat down and waiter was good with some English. Service a little slow from traditional pace and seemed to leave service part and serve only (drop drinks, drop food and run). They accept credit cards but you must go inside to pay. Gnocchi and Scampi (crayfish) was excellent enough for two.

My wife and myself visited the town of Vernazza and we stopped for dinner at trattoria da Sandro. We absolutely love fine dining but while all other places where full, we settled for something less (all main courses are mostly fried instead of cooked). As a starter we shared the pulpo salad which was ok. For the main course I... More

I stopped here for the muscoli ripieni -- stuffed mussels -- and was not disappointed. The food here is great, the atmosphere is fun, and the prices are affordable. This place has a lot of character.

Nice restaurant on the main Street. Food in general on the more refined side. The baked sea bass with smoked cheese was very good and the panzoni with Walnut sauce was quite a revelation for a non vegetarian. Pasta is freshly homemade and therefore not the same available everyday.

It is just the worst restaurant we went in Italy. All the staff was rude and the food was too expensive for what they sell. The waiter - who said was the owner - was extremely mannerless and impolite with us. First, we were very badly welcomed into the restaurant, second, the waiter refused to give us olive oil to... We were (un-)welcome by the rudest waiter ever... after we explained to them that we have food restrictions (gluten free) and that we could only order side dishes, we were told that they would not serve us unless we ordered lots of food. I have rarely been received so badly in a place (normally , when I explain or ask... More
