Been here several times, always great food and wine, eccellent service. Carlo is a great chef. His "minestrone genovese" and "totani scalognati" are the best expression of traditional cuisine with chef's touch.

I was wondering around Genoa with two friends, exhausted, hungry, and irritable. After a number of false starts we wandered down a narrow twisty lane and saw the Trattoria sign ahead. The moment we came in we realize something special happened. The meal was phenomenal! Our first course was a bacalao purée on toasts. A terrific start. Each of us... More

It was the worst meal we had during our 2 weeks holiday in Italy. The fish wasn't fresh, portions were too small. Very bad price-quality combination. The service was like they were doing us a favour serving us dinner. Overall very very disappointing. Would not recommend to anyone, who expects a good meal. Although close to the old city centre... I arrived early as I had left home in the UK early. Consequently I got a very personal service, with help in choosing dishes I had not tried before. I had an excellent local beer and then a superb red wine. I would recommend to anyone, and my bill was very reasonable.

We arrived for lunch very late, and the staff were happy to accommodate us. We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta with meat sauce and Ligurian rabbit. Our waiter suggested a very appropriate and delicious Cinque Terre white wine. It was recommended to us and we are happy to recommend it to others.

We had not booked before going into this place,so we waited few minutes but really totally worth it. The place is very nice, small but good atmosphere. We received a warm welcome. The price is a bit expensive respect to the other around, but I ate very good plates. The salmon with pink pepper was fantastic and the chocolate cake... More
