When we arrive in Como, often before we take the boat to our hotel in Tremezzo, we stop for an outstanding leisurely lunch at this terrific restaurant. On our last trip, earlier in October, we did two lunches in order to taste different perfectly prepared pastas and fish dishes. The lobster salad is breathtaking. It is an ideal meal for... More

We were the first to arrive at the restaurant after opening for the evening so they let us pick where we would like to sit. Once seated the waiter brought us a glass of prosecco before selecting our wine. Our waiter was very helpful with that and we chose a Sardinian wine he recommended (he told us it was his... More

We went to this restaurant with big expectations after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, and we really felt we went into a tourist trap. The service was pretentious, the food was one of the worst I have ever had in Italy and the they ty to make you feel like you are not good enough for them. By putting a photo... More

Visited together with my family for dinner in October 2016. This restaurant is a class act, delivering elegant and delicious dishes with friendly and attentive (but never intrusive!) service. This was my second visit to La Colombetta in 2 years and I was very happy to see that the experience this time was equally as good (if not better!).

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who had eaten here a week before . It was intimate, family owned ,comfortable and the staff were very friendly and attentive . The food for our party of five was delicious and everyone was happy. I had the sole which was perfectly prepared with potatoes , tomatoes and olives. We shared... More

Enjoyed entire evening. The staff made sure your meal was one to remember. Also, they were accommodating when we asked for a slight change on one of our entrees. We had two desserts, panna cotta and warm chocolate cupcake. Some of the best we have ever had!!!

Revisited to try in hopes of taking clients to dinner here in future. First impression was the stale cigarette smell permeating the restaurant. The second was that the decor was done in about 1979. The menu is pretty basic. Prices for Como on the high side. Filetto was 30 euros. It was tough and not great quality. The wine list... More

From the Spanish influenced architecture to the stark white walls and Miro inspired art, this storied convent and school is now a five star restaurant. The proprietress took over the restaurant from her father and is as caring as any hostess at her own home Highly recommend the seabass and sharing a pasta. Wine selection is international. Just a great... More

Exquisite meal - delicately prepared. The owners serve the dinner with genteel grace - we stayed until closing and were offered two types of homemade Limoncello and a tour of the bell tower. Their story is really interesting. Despite the languages we laughed and talked for a while.
