Really great little gem in the middle of Lecco. Excellent choice with a massive variety of ice creams and sorbet. Very good value for money.

For me it is always pistachio with what I test a gelateria - here it was top notch. We went here three times in a week, always trying out different tastes, all were superb!

This place was recommended to me by my cousin who lives locally. It is a favourite among her and her friends. It caters for many dietary requirements and has lots of variety of flavour. From sorbets to gelato, everything tastes great. This is by far...the best ice cream in the area, plus you can enjoy it by the gorgeous lake!More

One of the delights of buying an ice cream is salivating over the beautiful arrangement of flavours before you. Not so here, all hidden in metal jars with lids. The ice cream is nice but not outstanding, the service OK so long as you take...a number as you enter the door. The price is fair and the uniforms are nice but I’ll be buying from a gelataria I can ogle at next time.More

We noticed the queues outside the shop and decided to try the gelato. I had the chocolate, caramel and pistachio flavours. Absolutely delicious and could have easily had a second helping! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

It is said that Lecco is the best place for Gelato, and Gelateria Capo Horno serve the best Gelato in Lecco. You should never miss the Hazelnut and Pistachio flavors. The staff are very friendly and always smiling. They kept the store open for us...after their working hours because we called them and asked them to stay open. Another time the man serving us apologized because the lady behind us in the line was impatient and rude. We didn’t know that she was rude because we don’t speak Italian, but still he gave us free granita to apologize. Capo Horno was part of our daily routine during our 5 days stay in lecco.More

Wanted a gelato, and asked local bakery worker where to find one. She recommended this spot. Big selection of flavours available in cones or cups, like everywhere else. There is an additional option of getting your gelato served in a pastry bun - brioscia. We...went with the conventional cup option - nocciola (hazelnut) and stracciatella (vanilla with dark chocolate chards), my wife had pistachio. Found the stracciatella the fantastic, nocciola not to my taste, fine if you like Nutella. My wife loves all pistachio wherever she can find it as long as it is pale green - any pistachio that is bright green is not authentic.More

Having tried most gelato places in Lecco (and beyond), we felt this was the best! Fresh, light, flavoursome, not too sweet and great selection. Well served by knowledgeable staff.
