If you are like us and when you travel you love the idea of tasting something really local and of high quality , this is your place . Right in the heart of one of the 2 most beautiful squares in Mantua ( I believe it is the most beautiful ) , you have a perfect opportunity to understand local... More

Treated to lunch by our Italian friends. My daughter had the stinco- pork shank- and I had bucatini - thick spaghetti like pasta- in a delicious sauce with asparagus and ham. We also had the a local red Lambrusco. Delicious chilled on a warm day. Service was attentive but not I over bearing

This restaurant was recommended by our travel agents. Great location. Right on one of the main squares. Staff extremely snobbish. Not a single smile. Food average. Veal cutlets came with no vegetables. Plain plate of meat. Baked cod was nice. However staff so off putting that I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I were visiting Mantova for the first time and were recommended this place by a local who told us this was where she went to have a good local risotto and food. While we didm;t eat the risotto because we focused on one course which was pork "stinco" for me and grilled lamb chops for my wife.... More

In the heart of Mantua , in the Piazza Erbe there are many restaurants. But we had been told it was the best for traditional Mantuan cuisine. It was a good advice. I had Agnolotti with butter and sage. My wife pumpkin tortelli. Both specialities of Mantua. Well done with a thin pasta.

We had visited Mantova several times in the past, this time we decided to show our overseas friends around.. we were tipped off by a close friend that here at the 100 Rampini we would have eaten well....and that was the case. but the service really got me angry!! I felt like I was intruding on someone's Sunday lunch...not a... More

Luca wanted to go eat there as we do occasionally go when in Mantua. Great pizza place and great local food. There are other good restaurants nearby that are good as well. Price are ok. Nothing over and not cheap, but ok as the scenery next to the Rotonda di San Lorenzo, is good enough (if the City would fix... More

My favorite restaurant in Mantova, one of my favorites in Italy. The menu is limited and doesn't change but it includes both generous classics of the region and light contemporary interpretations of italian dishes. I tasted everything over the years and it is all delicious. The wine choice is great and includes a selection of small bottles ( mezze bottiglie... More

This trattoria is in the Piazza Erbe, a beautiful piazza in Mantova. I had the tortelli di zucca, pumpkin ravioli, simply served with butter and parmesan cheese, followed by Cotechino with mashed potatoes. The tortelli was sweet in flavour , due to the pumpkin filling , quite sweet and unique to this town it seems . I preferred my main... More

Description
Since 1981, in the splendid setting of piazza delle Erbe in Mantua, the Camatti family has been taking its guests on a journey of discovery of traditional Mantua cuisine. The premises, which have always been a reference point for Mantua guests, as well as travellers, is ideal for family lunches and gatherings, business meetings, birthday parties and romantic encounters. During the warmer season, guests can sit out under the portico of the medieval Palazzo della Ragione or in the centre of the suggestive square. The Cento Rampini menu varies according to the availability of seasonal products and includes all the meat, fish and vegetarian dishes of Mantua gastronomic tradition. All the desserts are homemade. The wine list focuses closely on emerging value-for-money labels and comprises a selection of fine local and Italian wines. Special attention is dedicated to preparing coffee, considered among the best in town and in the selection of bitters and distilled products to enable Cento Rampini guests to enjoy a unique and intense dining experience.
