It was indeed the best gelato we had in Italy. Packed at night with a line outside filled with locals

We went here earlier today and Master Cream has a variety of different ice creams to choose from. Some are quite unusual (like the meringue and another one that tasted like sherry trifle), but all the normal ones (like chocolate, strawberry etc) were also there. It was so good, we are planning another trip back this evening! The meringue was... More

If you think Mantua is quiet at night, this is where everyone is. If you are eating or staying nearby, then skip dessert and have a 1.50€ cone here. The ice cream is good, and the staff are lovely, but I think the gelataria near the arena in Verona is the best.

We've frequented this gelateria upon every visit over the past 25 years. And, they didn't disappoint this summer, either. Really the best gelato in Mantova. Try the amarena!
