Ossobuco is to die for, so is the tagliatelle al ragu and cotoletta Milanese. Not fancy at all but real Milanese food.

Great homemade Milanese food. The ossobuco is to die for! The place is very cosy and the service is good. The price is fair. I strongly recommend this place.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Milan. The decor is simple and homely, and the staff are incredibly sweet, the food is delicious and downright wholesome. The Trattoria Casottel is a three minute walk from the Porto di Mare Metro station and a five minute walk from the Starhotel Business Palace hotel, (where I was staying due to its easy access to Linate airport). This is not a restaurant for fussy people...in America we'd call it a joint or grasy spoon, with all the affection that implies. The ambiance is 70's clubroom, but you will be unlikely to fi d such a delicious sample of local cuisine at a similar price point. Definitely a favorite with locals...these are the secret gems of the Italy... More
