Very good and interesting combination of plates. The risotto with chestnuts, Marsala e fave was fantastic! If you want to finish in a grand note go for dolcissimo, sampling together all the deserts. Service was professional and relaxed (with marginal improvements in the upstairs area due to some extra waiting...) Highly recommended!!

I had a dinner few weeks ago for a special celebration. Plates were great, from the appetizer till the dessert. If I can resume in one word, I would say The seafood, risotto/pasta, grilled platters were absolutely delicious and savoury; The wine recommendations were perfectly matched to our meal and the service was excellent. The restaurant is in proximity to... More

I had Tatin with tomatoes and burrata for starter, which was lacking some salt in my view but was generally very good, and spaghetti with caramelised onions for mains which was average, nothing special. My guest had tuna fish tartare as a starter. Food quality in general was quite good, but the place is definitely priced too high at €... More

I had dinner here a few months ago. A very nice evening. The plates are great with extraordinary taste. Creativity is definitely the main driver. Good value for money.

This is a gem of a restaurant. We went there because it was round the corner from our hotel so it could have been 'touristy' but when we dined there it was full of Italians. The menu is short (always a good sign) and the food was as good as many Michelin 1 star places in London. Service was unobtrusive,... More

Had a fantastic experience. We were seated in the tiny upstairs mezzanine which was a delightful place to observe the restaurant. We went for the larger tasting menu, which was only 55 Euro for 4 courses (plus an amuse bouche and small treats after dessert). After several days of eating traditional Italian food (which I love), this meal was an... More

We chose to dine at Il Liberty at the recommendation of the staff at my nearby hotel. Upon arrival a staff member greeted us warmly and immediately showed us to an available table. The service by the staff was very attentive, friendly and patient. Although non of the staff spoke fluent English, nor we Italian, they were very understanding and... More

I went to Il Liberty on the advice of a colleague and found a well-priced delightful restaurant within a few minutes' walk of the Principe di Savoia hotel. Despite being a solo traveller and having no reservation, I was seated promptly. I have a preference for vegetarian food which is not always easy to accommodate in Italy but was able... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
