This place has a really relaxing atmosphere and has its own little charm. Milan is home to the apperitivo and these guys so it really well. The drinks are affordable and there is a mix of Italians and foreigners that wander in and out. The location is good to just enjoy the twilight sip on drinks and eat some food... More

I visited here for Happy hour on the recommendations of people on here but overall found the experience very poor. First of all the food was not great with the hot dishes warm at best if not mostly cold. The selection of wines was also poor. While there was a small crowd there at 7pm during the week, most of... I went here for happy hour at about 9 pm. The food was good and they kept adding and changing it up so I ate a LOT....too much actually! The atmosphere was good. There were a lot of people. The service wasn't so great...The drinks took WAY too long, about 20 minutes and we actually had to ask the bartender... More

This Cafe is located in the South-West area of Milan called Navigli. I used to visit this place some times ago, and things have been changed a bit now. The design of the local is mainly the same, though with some added signboards and pictures, and little chairs and tables change. It's relaxing and well balanced in lightning and colors.... More

Slice Cafe - delicious happy hour, good red wine and perfect location. Variety of food choice. Place to relax after work with your friends. In Navigli you will find lots of happy hour place - but still I highly recommend you that place.

We visited Slice Cafe as it was highly rated online as one of Milan's places to go for its famous Happy Hour. We visited but were underwhelmed; the place was smaller than we expected and although there was a decent selection of food to choose from, it was nothing special. Drinks were OK but at 9 Euros each very pricey... More

Wonderful Milan experience of 'Happy Hour' aperitivo. The cafe serves a smorgasbord buffet of typical Italian appetizers, pizza, hot pasta and more. For the cost of a drink, €9, you can have a very nice dinner :) perfect for those on a budget! Cafe interior is a bit dark, but air conditioning was a savior as that summer night was... More

First of all, let me make it clear that "Happy Hour" in Milan has nothing to do with "Happy Hour" elsewhere. Here it means that from about 1800 to 2200 there is a buffet where you can order any drink you like (with exceptions - no champaign, etc.) and eat your fill of a number of interesting dishes. Actually I... More

The staff is friendly, making nice drinks :) The food is tasty and you can choose from hot buffet (pasta, gnocchi, potatoes and so on) and also pizza is nice, hams, olives, sandwiches and others. Pretty rich aperitivo! And desert in the end :) The place is busy and full, but staff is bringing the food till 10o clock. At... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
