Our hotel (Castello) has a good restaurant, but it is closed on Sundays. The hotel receptionist sent us to Campanaro. It was a 15 minute walk, and we were becoming doubtful, but persevered. A little bit unimpressive from outside, you could immediately tell it was the real thing once inside. We were in the hands of experts in their business.... More

We had read about this restaurant on TA and were able to secure a reservation for Sunday evening. We were very glad that we did so. Excellent service and food. Our server was the 3rd generation in the restaurant. He ably translated the menu into English for us and assisted us with our wine selection - a Barolo from La... More

Ristorante con piatti della tradizione astigiana, a conduzione famigliare, Duilio e figlio in sala, moglie in cucina. Piatti ben cucinati e spiegati con professionalità. Foreigners visitors can find an English speaking maitre, who may suggest the right food/wine combination.

Of the many restaurants we sampled in Piedmont, Tuscany, Florence, and Milan, this was the finest, and not the most expensive. The odd thing was we made reservations in several restaurants, but not this one, although we had a TripAdvisor list with us for Asti. The restaurant exterior is non-descript on a main street with adjacent middling buildings. Once inside... More

We made a day trip from Turin and boy am I glad I did. Truly memorable dinner. We had the tartare with white truffles and donkey meat ravioli. The tartare was the freshest and cleanest I've had. The donkey meat ravioli was packed with flavor. Service was impeccable. The wines suggested paired perfectly with our food. Highly recommended!

We were in Asti while the white truffle festival was occurring. This restaurant was recommended by our B&B (Villa Ferrari, see separate review). We must say, the quality of food at this restaurant and the quality of our waiters was as high as we have ever experienced. We chose to start with two sampler platters of hot and cold appetizers,... This restaurant offers a good choice of typical dishes from Piedmont. You can feel like at home and the personnel is very nice and friendly. Even at lunch during the week, you feel a quietness and calm that invite you to eat properly! Excellent the "agnolotti gobbi monferrini": ravioli filled with four kinds of meat, so good that you can... More

We opened our meal with a selection of cold and then hot antipasti. All of them were fabulous. If forced to pick a favorite, it would be the roasted pepper with bagna caoda. The tagliarini ai burro with tartufi bianchi is not to be missed. We ended the meal with a panna cotta with persimmon sauce and a gianduja mousse.... More
