Great food we keep returning for lunch each day. Thursday night they had live music which was also heaps of fun. This place is quirky and fun

Porta San Giulio has lots of nice bars, shops and restaurants, but this little one is so charming, romantic and beautiful that we had to go and sit there even not having any desire for any food or drinks. We just took a cappuccino to justify our stay. It is decorated a way that it becomes a little piece of... More

We had planned on eating at a restaurant in the main square, Piazza Mario Monti, but were driven away by a group of drum majorettes playing very loud music over loudspeakers. So we took refuge here instead. Food seemed simple but good, service friendly and efficient and the décor was nicely eccentric. The restaurant occupies a courtyard inside an old... More

Yes you can eat here, although we didn't for no other reason than there so many choices. However, its a great place to go after you have eaten. It has a great bar/pub feel to it and occasionally live music. Gemmy the owner is a great guy!!!

We spotted that there was going to be live music on Thursday evening and that the menu looked very reasonable too, so we booked a table for the two of us for dinner. It is a small cosy atmospheric little restaurant with an open courtyard in the middle. The musicians, 2 guitarists and a singer (for just a couple of... More

This restaurant recently changed hands and what a difference it has made! Lovely atmosphere and a super menu. Interesting and delicious choices with a good selection for vegetarians. We enjoyed the menu so much that we visited three times at both lunch and dinner time during a recent trip to Orta.

Food wasn't fresh and we were charged for a dish we did not order, didn't realise until we got back to room so just double check your bill. Food was ok not overly fresh or tasty but did the job food in orta in general was not the best..

I walked around Orta looking at menus to try to find something that was a bit different than the usual pizza & pasta type menus and decided to give the Café des Arts a try despite its mixed reviews on TripAdvisor. Maybe it's what we chose to eat, but we thought this was one of the better casual dinners we... More

We ate here on our last evening staying in Orta San Guilio. What a shame it hadnt been open all week because we would have gone back again and again. My husband had the wild boar papardelle and enjoyed it, i had the small pork filled ravolini and it was the best meal I have eaten in Italy in a... More
