Great place to dine inside. Beautiful and historic rooms. Food and wine are of a very wide selection.

Most of us when we travel do not have unlimited time in any one place and we cannot eat at every good and recommended restaurant in the city , town or village we are visiting. It is important to make those finite opportunities count. Ristorante La Smarrita is one such restaurant which will make a night count in the beautiful city... More

We were lucky to get in (only in the not so grand first room) - ordered the 5 course taster menu. The food was well presented, local Piedmont style - nice, be it a little salty for our taste. We also has a nice bottle of local wine and left feeling quite full and happy, perhaps in part because we weren't... I trusted TripAdvisor (which brought me here) and boy I was glad I did. :) The restaurant was empty at 7:30 PM, while its neighbour was filled. I still decided to give La Smaritta a try. I was on adventorous mindset so I took 3 course Vegetarian tasting menu. It ended up being a five course menu with so many... More

I was visiting the La Smarrita with a big group of business friends. The restaurant is situated in a historical building With impressive interior. The restaurant crew had no problems handling many people and served a delicious meal. Thumbs up!

Some products were not of high quality. Waiters were not skilled into helping customer, no knowledge of wine. Too many tables for too few waiters. Nice scenery if fake Bob Marley does not start to sing. I've eaten cheaper and better.

I had lunch here during a business trip to Turin and thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside with a view of Piazza Carlo Alberto whilst eating the best carbonara I've ever had, albeit a fairly small portion. It was large enough to be satisfying though and I'm not a small guy (200+ lbs). It's not a very cheap restaurant compared to other... More

We had dinner here and were slightly underwhelmed: it doesn't live up to the setting and it was quite empty and lifeless. Go hungry, the size of the dishes is huge, but be warned that they are not necessarily imaginative. Overall: 6,5/10.

Original place, great location, good service and tasteful food and wine. If I was the owner, I would do a restauration of this unique place, since you can see that time is taking it under its hands. It's a perfect place for lovers!

We went to the restaurant based on hotel's recommendation and we were lucky to get there last table without reservation on Friday evening. We enjoyed very nice food in cozy atmosphere and very attentive service. Only afterwards, I found out about history of the place (read other reviews) and it made me even more pleased that we went there.
