I've always eaten well here, but a recent dinner was particularly good, so I'm upping the score, It was one of those evening when everything was perfect or near so. From a very flavoursome starter of ravioli of salt cod to the other refined and light starter of pickled arctic char with sald and yogurt; from a main of very... More

Very nice little restaurant, in a somewhat remote place, on the other side of the river. The owner makes good suggestions, and encourages comments about food and wines. I good a very good Sauvignon. This is my best restaurant in Trento, so far.

Outstanding. And we only found out about this small non-famous restaurant from one of the very good staff members at the NH Hotel nearby. Wonderful food. Each and every dish. Served beautifully by the owner ( we think) in that classic friendly confident Italian manner. Very reasonable prices for top quality. Highly recommended

Went for dinner on a Sunday night, the restaurant looks very typical and cozy. The food is superb and the wine lists, one regional and one for the rest of italy, very thought through. Prices are very low for what it offers, totally worth trying.

This was our first night of our holiday and we were very pleased to find an excellent chef and a great meal. Really made to feel welcome (although English limited!).

I have returned after one and a half years and can confirm all the positive impressions from last time. Cuisine is simple, always at a more than acceptable level, and sometimes with some really good dishes, especially among the desserts. But the major appeal of this place, which in fact describes itself as 'enological restaurant', is the wine list: interesting,... More

This is an excellent restaurant located just on the edge of town. It has character as well as good local food. The service we found particularly friendly with helpful rose wine recommendations to accompany the fish course. We chose a delicious chick pea and tortallini soup followed by char fish and perfectly cooked vegetables.. To finish with semifredo and strawberries... More

We visited Trento when on a climbing holiday. Il Libertino was recommended by our hotel. The food was good but we felt very unwelcomed. One waitress smiled once but the men who served us kept us waiting, appeared to ignore us and were brusque and unsmiling when they did eventually serve. This was in marked contrast to their treatment of... More

Very creative traditional cooking, not the usual pasta and pizza stuff: e.g. tonno maiale or coniglio. Service relaxed. Prices absolutely acceptable!

Good and interesting seasonal dishes at this trattoria on the 'other' side of the river Adige. A 'bi-colour' veloute' of chestnuts and pumpkin was well conceived and nice looking, though a little too thick and gluey (due to the potatoes). Better executed were home-made salt-cod tortelli on a bed of bean cream. More (stewed) salt-cod in a main, this time... More
