Phenomenal experience, not only because of the delicious meal, but the service was incredible. We stopped in with no reservation and our baby and enjoyed a relaxing, wonderful lunch. Genuinely nice people run the restaurant. Would recommend it to everyone, beautiful location as well!

We had dinner in Vecchio Ristoro on a friday night and went for the tasting menu. Being in the Valley of Aosta I would have expected dishes with some traditional influence but that wasn't the case. Anyway they don't portrait themselves as a traditional restaurant so I can't consider this as a negative point. All the dishes were well balanced... More

We had a very good dinner in this restaurant. The dishes which really jumped out were an amazing "bollito" terrine with green sauce, which was truly outstanding, and a faraona, also superb. Mind you, no real issue with the vegetarian main of wild cep mushrooms and potatoes nor with the amazing looking tomato filled with aubergine puree, which were also... More

This is a quiet, elegant and charming restaurant in central Aosta. What's even more important, the cuisine is very good! A starter of bollito misto had very clean flavours, several pieces of meat bound together by veal fat, and garnished with a fine green sauce. Similar clear, linear flavours in a very 'Mediterranean' starter of a large tomato filled with... More

A great variety of well cooked and presented food. Lovely setting and the hosts are very welcoming. Don't be put off by the doorbell. Behind those doors is a fantastic gastronomic experience. Bravo

This was a fantastic evening my fish starter was lovely, dear main course with polenta which I'm normally not fond of was fab and really creamy, but the red wine sorbet between courses and truffles were to die for!!! The best bit by far was the desert the chefs speciality of baked apple! OUTSTANDING!!! Defo worth a visit on any... More

The worst most expensive meal I ever ate. It gets one star because the service was OK. The filet fish was half cooked fish schnitzel and had fish bones, the carpaccio was smoked fish (and not a fresh one), the risoto was burned fried rice and the gnocchi was bad. The wine was extremely expensive and bad and 4 EUR... More

Beautiful location in a small old mill. Few tables and a very pleasant atmosphere. We loved the beef tartare and the fish carpaccio. The fish carbonara pasta is a must! Do consider the valley cheese platter! We also enjoyed very much the Aosta wines (Fumin): the wine list is very interesting. Katia is the perfect host and will take very... More

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The owner's welcome sets the stage for a pleasant meal. The food is excellent as is its presentation.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, located a little off the main restaurant streets in Aosta. The food was outstanding. The meal started with a serving of six types of bread and butter, and the bread was the best we had had in Italy. I ordered a tomato/aubergine "dome" seasoned with basil for an appetizer and it was beautifully... More
