The lady who “served” our family was the rudest server I have ever met in any restaurant, ever. Would never go back. Not sure whether she hates tourists? She was equally rude to the French couple on the next table. Food was good which explains...the reviews this place gets. But not worth the very unpleasant atmosphere.More

Maybe the food is delicious but I wouldn't know. I was not served. I wouldn't go back for anything. Both the male and female wait staff were incredibly rude. Rolled eyes, scoffs, ignoring. It's also full of Americans. I guess no self respecting Italian/local would...go there. There are plenty of snack bars in Venice. We went to Enoteca Al Volto three times. Super tasty. Mellow even when busy. No drama.More

Al Portego is a typical venetian bacaro where you can taste delicious cicheti and a good beer or a spritz. Two minutes away from Ponte di Rialto but not too touristy and for sure not a tourist trap. Inside all tables are reserved for customers...who want to have lunch/dinner a la carte only but my suggestion is to have your cicheti experience the way locals do: while standing at the counter or, if the weather allows, outside (a few seats are provided next to Al Portego's entrance and you can sit there). Quality of cicheti is excellent and staff is super friendly so I surely recommend this place. A must go when in Venezia!More

Fantastic food, great variety and excellent atmosphere in this right little bar and restaurant. Staff were great and introduced us to Select Spritz, the official Venetian Spritz

Discovered Portego about 25 years ago by accident. The cicchetti is outstanding, staff lots of fun and dinner very good. My go to place in Venice. For dinner be sure to make a reservation as they can only seat about 20 people. Kika and Cesca...are very helpful.More

Stumbled upon this place one evening when looking for somewhere to get a drink. - bargain Spritz + Ombra (house wine). Noticed the cichetti looked amazing too so went back the following night. The crostini were delicious as was the risotto we got. Really fun...vibe - would definitely recommend!More

Great place in Venice for casual and cosy wine and cicchetti! The salmon lasagne was simply amazing!!! The house white wine was lovely. A tiny place but simply charming and can be very crowded at times

This little cozy restaurant was a great find. The menu is written on a chalk board, which is always a great sign! The house wine was delicious. We had a little sample of the popular cicchetti of the day, all very delicious and then our...main dishes. I had a ravioli stuffed with osso bucco and my husband and a mushroom Ragu lasagnaMore

Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

It depends what you order...? Entree’s are between 10-15 euro tapas 3-5 . A carafe of wine 8 euro?. This place is phenomenal that’s all I will say...Bon Appétit
