Off a large piazza, this muted, attractive place sells tons of pizza, but we were the only table of 7 who ordered from the restaurant menu. Service was adequate and helpful. Wine list average. Food average at best. The mussels marinara were small, old, lacking flavor, the spaghetti with clams were better, but still lack the punch of fresh seafood.... More

The restaurant looked inviting as we walked passed around lunchtime and I was attracted by the two course, fixed price menu ("menu completo") which was to my taste. As our primary meal was taken in the evenings that seemed ample for lunch. The ambience inside the restaurant was nice and the waitress pleasant. We were given the a la carte... More

We enjoyed yet another great dinner here. 3 ladies travelling and eating their way through Venice! I recommend adventurous diners try the Venetian style polpo (served in squid ink with polenta on the side). It was delicious -- tender and tasty if you can manage the colour of the squid ink! My sister and mum enjoyed the dinner of the... More

Situated away from the busy crowds. Great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was wonderful. To start the most amazing slices of goose breast served with bruschetta and rocket. Simply divine! Followed by ravioli stuffed wth cheese and mushrooms in a creamy sauce , flavoured with nutmeg. Wonderful

When visiting this restaurant for diner on 19. April 2017 we had a very poor experience in this restaurant. First, the choice of my wife for one of the very few pasta on the menu was not available. Well, not a big thing, let's have the "prawns" with linguine... Bad choice: The "prawns" were not really prawns, but crayfish. And... More

We had a good dinner at Casin dei Nobili. The spaghetti vongole was excellent. We all ordered it. The waiter was no particularly charming and the ladies room was very shabby and lacked toilet tissue.

We stumbled on this place by accident for lunch and had great pizzas with a very accommodating service. I was surprised by the bad comments of some people as we had a very nice experience for a good value.

There is no shortage of rotten meals in the culinary wasteland that is Venice, but this place is one of the worst offenders. They do just about everything wrong and nothing right. As with most restaurants in town, they cater to tourists -- which means that don't CARE if they have good service or good food because most of their... More

My partner and I shared a pizza and salad for lunch and it was ok, service was good but as usual you're stung for the cover charge and bottled water. A shame but that's like most major cities you visit I guess....

The atmosphere of this small restaurant is cosy and authentic, the pizza is awesome with rich toppings. The waiter wasn't too friendly but wasn't rude, either. The prices are a bit high but they can be regarded average in Venice. I would go back because of the pizza.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
