This wine bar looked lively and appealing when we walked past so stopped for a predinner drink. The tables were full so we had our drinks and tapas on the boat moored by the restaurant. Lovely location on a beautiful evening. The drinks weren't cheap...More

This is a very popular place with the locals and its a hip place for the cannareggio crowd so tables are at a premium even if you've booked so get there early We had a couple of bottles of prosecco and a few plates of...More

Steak was really tasty, but service was bad. We didn't make reservation in advance, but we were lucky to have a table because we arrived 30min before they opened the kitchen.

If you are planning on having dinner you should book in advance. This is a bar/ restaurant. One half is for diners and one half is for people having a drink and ciccetti. We were told this was a must visit so we made sure...More

Great restaurant full with locals and tourists - booking probably essential. The only restaurant we went back to in Venice, as we were both very impressed by the steak. Get the chateaubriand - you won't be disappointed.

Recommended by airbnb host and it was a winner. Restaurant is close to a canal/"river". Two boats are used as sitting areas for wine adficionados while tables adjacent to the canal are for dinners. Meat was tasty with a selection of grilled vegetables.

Visited Venice last week and was in Cannaregio area which is a kind of cool laid back area not so touristy. Were visting cosy little Bar Zanon for drinks also on the Fundamente Ormesini . Friendly barman recommended Al Timon for 'meat'. A big thank...More

The place work as a bar and a restaurant. We went to enjoy the bar. There's plenty of venetian tapas that you can order as you order your drinks. They serve you in a plate and with plastic cups that you can take outside and...More

Wonderful outdoor summer dining on canal. Enormous and well prepared steak Fiorentina (thick t-bone) with grilled vegetables - excellent! A lot of food for two. Gnocchi ragù was good. People watching was great from outdoor seating on the canal in front. Service was good. Expect...More

This bar is hugely popular and whilst very small inside and a few tables and chairs canal side it still attracts large numbers of people who all sit on the canal side, nearby bridge or the barge moored in front of the bar. Great choice...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

We arrived right when they opened the restaurant. For one hour, they only serve the bread and meats. As soon as we got there, they made us a reservation for dinner. We did not have any previous contact info for them!
