Gelato Fantasy was my first (but certainly not last) gelato experience in Venice. Lots of fun flavors.

I recently visited for some home-made ice cream and it didn't disappoint, the ice cream was fresh and so creamy. I ordered the fresh milk and dark chocolate option and it was very nice, it isn't too expensive either at 3 Euro for 2 scoops. They have a large range of ice cream to choose from as well, around 12... More

Absolutely amazing ice-cream. It is homemade, fresh and delicious. During our 3 days visit we ate here several times. The flavors are super nice and the portions are huge. Must try.

So, our tour guide tells my 11 year old that this is the best Gelato in Venice and maybe Italy. After dinner one night we set out to find it -- through the maze that is Venice. It was well worth it, the double chocolate was amazing, A key food discovery during our trip.

Very good gelato with many, many flavors. Perfect when walking from St. Marks to Rialto Bridge. It will fortify you until you can get to the next gelato shop!

Best Gelato in Venice period!!! This is a must for the sweet tooth foodie visiting Venice. There are many places to choose from, all claiming to be the "original gelato", but this place definitely gets it right.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
