Watch your prices when you pay. Tourists are maybe charged differently and they think you dont notice deviations to the regular prices listed in the menu.

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. It was probably one of the finest meals we have ever had. Everything from the local Rose’ to the home made pasta with mushrooms or seafood. Everything was perfect. Even the setting in a quiet...street just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge away from from the constant tourist walking by the canal. Alessio could not have been more helpful. Truly I tell you a must stop at restaurant in VeniceMore

The staff were great offering many varieties of local Venetian cuisine … very diverse & delicious. The wine selection was also local & we tried an organic white wine we would never normally select, but it was perfect & we ordered two bottles.

Al Paradiso supposed to be included in top 25 restaurants of Venice. Before even trying food , we were impressed by the waiters who were wearing jackets and ties in a 100 degrees weather. The respect, manners and service -some of things we are still...discussing while dinning in other places upon arrival. Food was simply amazing. Just listen for Juri s recommendations there. Juri is a manager /waiter who is an absolute treasure for any business/establishment. Amazing sense of humor, knowledge of history, local foods , produce and wines , and observation skills and charisma ... Thank you Juri for very enjoyable last evening in Venice ! You were able to impress very spoiled Russian New Yorkers :)More

AL PARADISO was highly recommended by our concierge at the Hotel Londra, where we stayed. First, we were greeted by the manager, JURI (pronounced Yuri), whose charm, knowledge and guidance of the food of Venice, made our evening spectacular. Juri selected the local dishes of...Venice, such as Sarde in saor, Bigoli in salsa, and Granseola, (Italian for spider crab), and a hand-picked, delicious wine from a small, boutique (woman-owned) local vineyard. The prices were very fair. Certainly, for the quality of food, much less expensive than the USA. But, Juri was so gracious, talking about his passion for the restaurant, Venice--and his wife and three daughters--it made for a wonderful, memorable night. We sat there for THREE HOURS! AWESOME!More

This was our favorite restaurant in Venice. We ate there twice during our recent visit. Wonderful staff and delicious food. Not touristy- a charming restaurant with inside or outside seating. It’s an easy walk from St. Mark’s square; near the Rialto Bridge.

Very expensive, and medium quality. A rather small primo piatto of pasta with 1 scallop and 2 aspargus for EUR 25 Portion and a small bowl of salad at EUR 7 is just too much even for Venice. Never again.

Upon arrival in Venice (20th of October 2020) we had lunch here (suggestion from our hotel), what a great choice! The food was amazing, the service as well, such a nice cute local place with amazing food. My son wanted pizza, due to covid-19 the...menu card was a bit smaller and no pizza on it. The waiter pointed us to a good pizza place closeby (instead of pushing us to stay). We left, had a look at the pizza place and decided to return back as the rest of us preferred local good food over pizza. My (11yr old) son started in a bad mood until he got his food (beef with rosemary potato's). 'Best beef ever and so much better than pizza' was his reply. I had some local fish that was suggested, also great. Our daughters pasta with lobster, another amazing dish. The desserts were great too and the staff so extremely friendly and helpful. Our kids decided that they only wanted to eat here during our 3 day Venice trip. We didn't do that but did come back for a dinner 2 days later. Another great experience! Would definitely suggest this cute local place with great food to anyone. And if you do, say hi to Alessio, the very friendly waiter.More

In September my husband and I returned to Venice as ten years ago we where married there. We had a day time reception at the restaurant and we have never forgotten how perfectly wonderful the food, wine and service was. As this was a special...anniversary we wanted to return once more and after a phone call from the UK a booking was made. We arrived in Venice to find it much quieter due to the Covid pandemic but for us it seemed wonderful and as magical as always and felt like we had the city to ourselves. On arrival at the restaurant we were greeted warmly and presented with a glass of Prosecco to toast our special day. My husband loves seafood so he took the advise of Alex the proprietor and what delights he had in store for us ! Firstly a carpaccio of locally caught seafood this came with fennel and flavoured oil then home made pasta with seafood. For myself mushrooms from the Forrest with a delightful sauce in pasta so creamy it melted in the mouth. To finish my husband had a semi fredo with strawberries. We finished with a dessert wine and traditional Venetian biscuits. The service is attentive with and the food and wine, some of the best we've ever had. This little restaurant is tucked away but not that far from the Rialto bridge, easy to walk too and in any other year you would have to book well in advance as it’s reputation is well known. This was our third visit to Al Paradiso since we were married 10 years ago and it won’t be our last, it’s not ultra modern but it is elegant, has old style charm and a menu and skilled chefs that many UK restaurants could learn from. Please when in Venice don’t hesitate to visit but booking is advised. There is a lunch time and also a set price menu as well as the a la carte. We hope to visit again very soon and also hope that like magical, majestic, Venice, Al Paradiso weathers the storm that is Covid 19 so that many other visitors can have not only a wonderful meal but a culinarily experience they will never forget.More
