Delicious pasta with such pleasant and welcoming service. Literally the best service experience we had in all our travels through Italy!

Second visit here. Dinner this time. Didn't book so waited for table-which is grand. Lots of others waiting too so it's clearly well regarded. Very fair in that we were seated first as waiting longest. This might seem obvious but not always in Venice where locals and native speakers sometimes get preferential treatment to an irritating degree. Lovely table. Great... More

Perfect little place with tasty meals and good wine selection! The service was top notch. Wish we discovered it sooner!

We have made this restaurant the location of our special Sunday lunch for each of 8 consecutive years. Patricia and Luigi are the perfect hosts: charming and helpful. The menu reflects Luigi's Sardinian roots and also includes a variety of pasta and meat dishes. We love their coneglio (rabbit). Patricia's homemade desserts are invariably incredible. Located in the charming Campo... More

It was the first restaurant that we experienced in Venice, and it was GREAT! The ambiance is awesome: sitting outside facing the Chiesa San Raffaele, in a square not packed with tourists makes a huge difference. The food was awesome, we followed the suggestions of the waiter which was quite helpful (which is quite uncommon in Venice). The salad with... More

We found Pane Vino last time we were in Venice 4 years ago and had lunch/dinner there 6 times because it was so great. It's in Dorsoduro, in a quiet corner of the city on Campo dell'Angolo Raffaele, not to be confused with a restaurant of the same name in another part of Venice. This year, we discovered the restaurant... More

We ate three times at this restaurant during three week stay in Venice. The food was superb and the welcome was genuinely warm each time we visited. We have a 'favourite restaurant in all the world' (Fat Olives in Emsworth) but this was a good rival. The food was always excellent, and we were guided expertly through the menu on... More

Wonderful simple menu and great ingredients. Service is very helpful and the quality of the food and wine made this the best lunch we had in Venice. Will be back.

It's a little hidden away but worth finding - and we were lucky to get a table, best to book!. Food and service were both excellent and the staff were very friendly.

What a truly wonderful dining experience. The food was amazing and the service was warm and welcoming. The prosciutto was the best we have ever had EVER! Risotto with mushrooms, pork chop, pasta.... Everything was exceptional.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
