I am hesitant to review this place because it is a secret gem. Frequented by locals. Cozy and charming, with room for only 24 people. Everything was amazing. From the Insalata Mista to the Titramisu. I had a perfect pasta with salmon dish. A nice...glass of wine, and bliss…More

We had our first dinner there when we arrived and was not disappointed. We use both Trip Advisor and Yelp to help guide our decisions. Not sure how we would have done so 30 years ago. It would just such a hit and miss situation....Part of the reason we ate here is that it was opened for an early dinner. We had gotten of the train and were tired. A significant number of restaurants are not opened until 6-7 pm and we were tired and hungry. We ate an early dinner at around 530pm and just took our time consuming multiple dishes. Staff was friendly and helpful. We sat inside since it was misty outside and chilly. We had a wonderful carafe of wine. There was a translational misunderstanding so both got a carafe and felt pretty good by the time the food got there. We had bruschetta to start which was wonderful. Bread on the side. I had the meat lasagna and my wife spaghetti carbonara. We ordered like Americans and only had those dishes since we are not large eaters and did not order a second course. All in it was under 45 euros with a tip. Would definitely return again and highly recommend. Enjoy.More

Hands down the best place to eat in Venice. Consistently good food, fabulous service from wonderful staff. We have been to Venice four times in the last 6 years and every time we go to Pontini’s! We first went as a couple and have since...taken several groups of friends and all love it as much as we do. It’s located on the water and is not to far from the train station. It is small and there is nearly always a queue so we recommend booking ahead. Request the terrace if you can, but inside is equally cute. Warning the Tiramisu dessert is huge, so share!More

Great venezian food! A wonderful staff! I ate here without booking, because I came early (like noon). The price is affordable!

Very good food and service. Had the cheeseburger and fries. Nicely done, pink in the middle, there was no extra charge for the ketchup

What a beautiful quaint restaurant with reasonably priced absolutely delicious food! Recommend reservations because there was a long lineup due to how popular it is!

We had a great lunch at Trattoria Bar Pontini! Portions are very big, and rates are more than affordable. The restaurant has a very nice view over "Canale Cannareggio", which is one of the biggest "canali" after Gran Canal. Staff will be more than happy...to help you in making your choice depending on the menu of the day. Thank you very much. We will come backMore

We stopped in for lunch and had the best lasagne and Frito mista which were both very delicious. Topped off with a cool Ameretto afterwards. Reasonably priced for Venice. Very friendly!

Had a great experience eating here for lunch. We stopped by after seeing some great reviews and we are glad we did! We had the cheese selection appetizer and the meat selection appetizer and both were very good and very fresh. For our main courses...we had a fried mixed seafood entree and a fish lasagna. Honestly the fish lasagna was one of the best meals I’ve had in Italy so far! Highly recommend.More

Best meal we had in 5 days florence/venice. Although it really is only a few steps from the main tourist beat, the quality is wonderful. By total coincidence we ate here twice (we went for lunch having forgotton that we actually had also booked it...for next days dinner) But we were so happy we did. I have had some great lasagne but I think this is the best I ever had. The service is a bit rushed and our orders did not go totally smoothly but it is a busy place.... To be honest the tomato, mozzarella starter dissapointed with tasteless tomato. But that was forgotten by the end of the mealMore

Very bad service ~ thanks to <2 ladies as sever> 1. They ignore you when you are in the waiting line. 2. When the table is empty and it’s like 10.15pm. All the reservations is completed. priority is given to locals and European. And the...reply is: We are busy ! 3. This restaurant should be omitted in any guides. If unable to copy or manage a small scale restaurant like this. Kindly hire someone or shut down.More
