Do not go there! Attractive prices, but charges 7€ for a peroni, 5€ for service and 3€ per caffè... You end up paying 25-30€ pp for frozen food...

We selected this place to eat on our first evening, the staff did not interact with the diners except the Maitre 'D; A loud individual shouting at people as they walked past and persuading them to enter and sit down, erecting more and more tables. My wife's meal; Grilled salmon was not fully cooked tepid and swimming in a thin... More

Good food but expensive. The service was reasonable and brought dirty cutlery. But the food was really good.

We were hit up by every restaurant on our way to San Marco; the hawker here was gracious, and promised us a drink (typical Spritz). We returned many hours later, and were greeted warmly by the same gentleman, and given a prime table. Within an hour every table was occupied, yet the low ceiling kept the noise level to a... More

Sublime tiramisu, and the other dishes didn't disappoint. Prices on the high side but that's probably because it's so central.

Staying in the San Marco square area? This small, but delightful restaurant is located next door to "Hotel Noemi" (Naomi Hotel), 3 minutes from the Square. Food so delicious, we ate there twice. And on one cold rainy day, we stopped in for some fish soup (deliciosa). Balanced menu, with adequate fish, pasta, and meat offerings...something for every palate. NOTE:... More

Bad service. Highly priced drinks. The food is the worst i have ever seen (and i have seen a lot). I have eaten at a lot of places and some good and some bad. For the first time i left a restaurant and really felt conned. We were with 6 people and all felt the same. The persons sitting next... More

Good price point, and good food. Excellent service. Close to the San Marco Plaza. Efficiently run restraurant and friendly staff. We were couples, however ther was a family enjoying the restraurant.

We had the "Gastronomic Special" it seemed a good value for the price and they staff included an aperitif and limon cello. Bread served with dinner was old and this is extraordinary for an Italian restaurant. Service was initially good and degraded as the patrons began to increase. Some delay could be expected but this exceeded norms. My meal included... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
