I took my daughter and parents to this restaurant for a quiet dinner on our first night. We received a lot of attention from the owner and chef, who told us all about Venetian food. They even prepared a plate for my mom which was not on the menu. I loved my fried seafood dish--so crispy and delicious.

All food in Italy was fantastic. Here was no different. Great staff, Slow Italian service but make an evening of it you pay for the table.

(+) Good pasta quality (carbonara & bolognese) (+) Good prices (in comparison to everything else in Venice that is freakin' expensive) (+) Good wine (white) of the house at a fair price (-) Not close to the main canal but not really a problem considering that getting lost in Venice is part of the fun... :)

Food was lovely, prices were great for Venice and the service leisurely. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Shall try to find it again the next time we visit!

If you are near Realto Mercato, you feel hungry and you consider this as your only option, better grab a bite from the nearest "il forno" or consider it as a god's sign to get on a diet. A handful of spaghetti vongole was swimming in oil while the scattered "vongole" tasted like nothing. In the "fungi pizza" (yeeeh I... More

The food was average. The prices were reasonable. The service was slightly below average. The gnocchi was pretty good but a lot less seafood in the pasta than other places. The sea bass came whole without warning, which wasn't a problem but most places generally warn you of that, and it was over cooked.

This restaurant is not too busy and off the main Rialto Bridge drag. The service is friendly and quite efficient - feels very authentic as there are Italian waiters and customers. The Spaghetti vongole was delicious and so was the capricious a pizza. Well worth a visit.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
