This was my favorite place on our trip to Venezia! Great wine, food and prices. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.

We were here for after-dinner drinks, and ended up drinking two bottles (for two) without noticing it. Great wine, great atmosphere, excellent staff, and the food looked delicious (although we were too full from dinner to try). Will gladly come here again!

We went there twice only for drinks and cichetti (like tapas). It is a tiny little bar with small restaurant at the back. If you can get the table in the window it is perfect. They close between 15.00 and 18.00. The Belgian beer also...More

Had been to Al Volta for drinks and cichetti earlier this week. Had planned to return and finally got there this evening. Excellent traditional Venetian dishes - I really enjoyed my liver and onions with polenta. My partner had the gnochetti with a delicious aubergine...More

Lovely little restaurant on a quiet back street of Venice only 50m from the grand canal. Generous pouring of wine and succulent sea bass plates at sensible prices really made our visit

Our hotel recommended this as a good local restaurant. Agree with comment about people outside and in the entry but no problem getting a table for two as we went early. Had the special sea bass which was lovely but the most expensive thing on...More

Founded in 1936 in the heart of Venice, in the Calle Cavalli street, very close to the Rialto bridge and the Rossini cinema, our wine bar offers its customers a cosy and peaceful atmosphere, with a familiar touch given by the wooden decorations which are the same that characterized the ancient "bacari", the places where people stopped to have a "cicheto" (small portion of typical food) and an "ombra de vin" (glass of wine).
