Excellent and friendly place a bit off the beaten track, found it in the last night and had a great time and food. Similar prices as any other places but with great quality (We specially loved the prawns) and friendly staff

We only came for a light lunch, and had a selection of chichetti with drinks. It was all tasty and they had a good selection for between €1-€3 per item. The seating right on the canalside was perfect for a sunny lunchtime, watching the canal...More

We enjoyed this restaurant and everyone seemed nice. My kids each wanted spaghetti with mussels and clams (18 euro) and the waiter suggested they share because it's a big dish. We thanked him. After we got home we tried to decipher the bill, which had...More

Loved this place. Simple surrounds and geared for the locals as it is outside of the heart of the tourist area. We saw many workers going in and took our cue. We were not disappointed. Reasonable prices and good local produced authentic Venetian food. Make...More

Nice, simple fresh food in a quaint family restaurant. Menu is not very extensive but what was there tasted good.

My partner and I chose this restaurant from TA as the venue for a cosy dinner to round off a day trip to Venice during a holiday in Northern Italy. It's a simple, neighbourhood bistro on a canal side in the Cannaregio district, probably serving...More

Finding good authentic Venetian food is a challenge... not here. Within a neighborhood not overwhelmed by tourists this restaurant offers very simple yet pleasant food that makes it clear the sea is its source. Service was attentive and relaxed (completely opposite to most places in...More

We visited here on our first night in Venice. Having tried to get a table (on the canal) at a few restaurants along this road, we finally secured a table in the garden ( outside space through the restaurant ) and were so glad we...More

We went here on a thursday evening and were lucky to find a free table at the waterfront. Very friendly staff and simple, but very nice food. Much better than all the average joints in the tourist areas.

Searched for a place relatively near our hotel and found Bea Vita. No reservation shortly after they opened on a Wednesday night and had no problem being seated outside on the canal. Shared a caprese starter, and each had pasta for our meals. The pasta...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
