The place has a simple minimalist feel to it. The waiter explained that it was a restaurant which got its fish at the market every morning (ie. very fresh) and elaborated modern d'auteur dishes, much of it raw. The food was delicious, only so little...More

Lovely little place for drinks and very freshly made cicchetti. Top marks for the waiter Tobia (ginger guy) who was great...gentlemanly and witty (few and far bertween in Veneto)

Pleasant restaurant on a busy street. We stopped here for a couple of drinks and were served by a pleasant (if not energetic and loud) waiter. Nice location to just watch everyone walk by.

Disappointing! 56€ for a readymade “starter” from a marketplace. 2 different Waiters ignored us 2 times. We went here several times over past years, but this was the last one!

Rustic and basic, small and charming. We came here because it features in the Top 10 guide and we weren’t disappointed. The waiter/barman is the cheeriest and friendliest waiter in Venice and although he was mega busy, he still made you feel like you were...More

We stopped for a late night Vino. Staff even gave recommendations to my non wine drinking boyfriend, which is pretty unheard of in Italy! Would recommend!

Beware of this place ripping you off!! We ordered a bottle of house red and fish pasta. The fish pasta was average with very little fish. The wine was okay but charged at €24 when a glass was €3; you do the maths! We mentioned...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
