We have been to this trattoria numerous times, August 2016, February 2017 and during our three week visit this August. It's warm, friendly with a good menu. We feel it's what a trattoria should be. Hope you enjoy!

This was one of those 'it's fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again' sort of places. Made a reservation for 7:30 on a Tuesday, but no need: virtually no one there. I started off with an Aperol Spritz - virtually...More

Recommended to us by our hotel we sort it out and we weren't disappointed. Warm friendly service in a small traditional Italian style restaurant. The food was amazing, fresh and delicious. Definitely recommended.

First dinner in our honeymoon. Loved the place. We tried traditional italian seafood and it tasted awesome. The wine is really cheap and tastes great too. Totally recommend this place and will definitely visit again when we're back in Milan!

We had a lovely dinner at Tratoria da Gigio. The food was very good and the service attentive and kind. We sat at the small indoor patio and the atmosphere was very nice. The tTalietele nere is highly recommended.

When we decided to come to Italy, we told ourselves never to fall for a tourist trap, so we looked for signs that tell us where the restaurant stood in the touristy scale: are there 1) people in front luring tourists in, 2) photographs of...More

We enjoyed a tasty meal at the Trattoria. All good meals and very reasonable price for Venice. We enjoyed the calamari and prawns which was very tasty and a delicious smooth gnocchi while kids ate a tasty vegetable soup and grilled Fish, salad only 3€...More

Hoped that the last review was a blip and chanced it. Should have realised the glum looks on other diners' faces told a story. Just went for mains, simple pasta dishes (we'd had a big lunch on Murano). Absolutely awful. Carbonara was scrambled egg. Something...More

Just got back to my hotel and while normally forgiving when it comes to restaurant reviews I can't even begin to tell you how bad. All aspects. Food.Service. Wait time.Save your time. Save your hard earned money.

My wife and I visited here for our last lunch in Venice as it was with in walking distance of our accommodation. We sat outside which was lovely. The food was of good quality and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

I'm not entirely sure if you can book online as I don't think they have a website. When we visited in December, we called and booked in at the restaurant a couple of days before we went. I highly recommend booking in... More

Not far from the train station in Venice. Very close to the Grand Canal. Excellent dinner here in June 2010.
