It was raining today as we entered Venice. After taking the public water taxi down three stops, we found ourselves wandering aimlessly through the maze of streets. We decided on heading back to Mestre where our hotel was. Just before taking the steps on a...More

This is a place you could easily walk past and take no notice of. They have a few tables just outside of the magnum shop. Food is wonderful. Lunch time pizza and a full evening meal with a peppered steak to die for and unbelievably...More

We always look for the places just off the main drag. We found a gem here. We both had spaghetti and you can tell it was homemade. A couple of glasses of the house wine, an hour or so of people watching, enjoying the cool...More

We stopped for drinks, the location is lovely, right by the canal. The service was a bit slow, and it wasn't busy. A nice range if drinks though and it was enjoyable, we would return when we next visit Venice.

Could not believe how big the pizzas are here! Very nice staff and good service too. If you love thick and crusty pizza, go here

We just had three nights in Venice, but ate here two out of the three evenings. Loved it! Very friendly, great food and the best prosecco ever!

We tried "calamari to go", it was very tasty. Also we tried salads, one with tuna was delicious. The personnel is very friendly and attentive. For Venice this place is not expensive and the quality of service is very high.

Went because the reviews were good. Ordered a margarita - was extremely disappointed with what was served. It was as though the tomato based with mixed in with the cheese - and I had to request basil. Plus it didn't help that the waitress was...More

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district)
when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring
cars and buses close to the center of Venice.
Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking
Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes
with energy from travelers and students. Historic
palaces and former industrial buildings house some
departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture

Hi Frank. It's so easy - when you come out of the main train station in Venice, to your left is a bridge called Ponte Degli Scalzi. You'll notice it as there are selfie stick vendors everywhere. Cross the bridge and... More

Take a taxi to Treviso Centrale. Then, take a train to Santa Lucia, Venezia. When you exit the train station, go right, cross a couple of small bridges and you'll see it on your right hand side.
