We took linguine and grilled fish. Both dishes were nice. We paid 21.5 € each. Beatiful place by the sea. Very kind and professional staff.

From the Ferrovia it takes a complicated 90 minute journey involving Vaparetto, local bus and a dive-on-ferry, to the very southern end of the lagoon's islands - Pellistrina. But Celeste is one of Venice's absolute TOP fish restaurants and is reasonably priced. Must book. The...grilled Branzino is to die for and the Capesante should not be missed!More
The terrace overlooking the Venice lagoon with a distant view of the city is spectacular. On the day of our visit, the food was less so. The mixed antipasti were reasonable but the grilled fish and sea food were dried out and tasteless. This was...disappointing given the restaurant's reputation. It was hard to get the waiter's attention he was so busy gossiping with the people at the next table. Noise levels were very high making conversation difficult. Considering the quality of fish available in Venice, and the cost of the meal, this was an experience that we would not recommend.More
It's worth the boat trip from Venice to the Lido then the bus ride to Pellestrina to eat here, on the narrow strip between the lagoon and the Adriatic (great beach). Reserve if you want one of the tables right on the edge of the...platform on the sea. We did lunch, but watch the gap in the bus times (none at 12 from Lido and none back at 3 otherwise every 30 minutes, and the bus even takes a short ferry trip). The prices are very reasonable. The fish was huge - waiters were ready to fillet it if required - while I had an anchovy starter then beef, both good, and the house wines fine (indeed the red Volo by the glass was very good). So great service, great setting, great food. Thanks to the English woman living in Venice for her recommendation.More
My husband and I had a fantastic meal at De Celeste. The restaurant is run by two families, it’s in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea and has a terrace on the water amongst the fishing nets. The sun sets in front of the restaurant...and we started our evening with drinks while the sun went down. Our meal was fabulous, the most incredible locally-sourced seafood. One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Great selection of wine, local wine by 1/2 litre and a lovely little bar to the side for post-dinner drinks (and a chat with the family!). Very fairly priced and great service. Even if you’re staying in Venice, it’s worth a trip on the boat over to Pellestrina for a lunch or dinner at this peaceful spot. We will be coming back.More
Fabulous Sea food. Great service nice location, worth the trip by bike. Nice staff, you need to help with the English but the food quality make it worth.
During our trip to Italy, we were encouraged to visit Pellestrina, a quaint little fishing village a short distance from Venice. The village was a welcome respite from the bustle of Venice. While there, we discovered La Celeste.; an unassuming restaurant perched on the water....Our lunch was excellent; fresh, delicious seafood prepared perfectly. This was arguably the best meal of our trip; and our trip was filled with excellent meals. From the antipasto, to the seafood spaghetti, to the grilled mixed fish, to the tiramisu and coffee; nothing could have been more enjoyable. It is certainly worth the trip to Pellistrina; for the change of pace as well as the outstanding restaurant that resides there.More
Got there by boat with friends , it was fantastic, location, service and quality of food hard to match. One of the best fish lunch I had, and I am Venetian. Highly recommended.
It is a long distance from Venice but definitely worth the journey. Fresh fish and beautiful views of the lagoon.
Nice atmosphere just looking the lagoon. Efficient and competente service. Good food and right price for the quality. Reserve !
