As with most restaurants in Venice, the hardest part is to find your way to one that has been recommended (thank heaven for Google Maps). Situated near the Rialto bridge and just off the Mercato del Pesce, Al Peoceto Risorto is one such restaurant. The...owner, Oscar, welcomes you to tables that are dressed with linen/cotton tablecloths and serviettes – no plastic here – before offering an extensive menu. If you can engage him in conversation (his English is good), you’ll find a dry sense of humour and a wealth of knowledge, which compliments the superb food the kitchen presents: the carafe of house red wine is no thin concoction often found in Italian restaurants. In Venice, we dined at other venues, but just had to return to Oscar’s for more where a meal for 2 (starters and mains, wine and coffee) will cost about €100. Do yourselves a favour – go, try Oscar’s Al Peoceto Risorto – you won’t regret it.More

This was the best dinner we had in Venice! We randomly found it wandering around the Rialto area. The two gentlemen servers were friendly & professional. Each of the 4 of us were delighted with our meals. Highly recommend.

We are usually not the ones providing feedback on TripAdvisor but this one we had to. From customer experience to great food to history the restaurant aced it all. We had an amazing artichoke salad, penne amatriciana, chicken supreme, and great red to go along....Thank you for an amazing evening and special attention Dario and great advise on selection of food and wine.More

Restaurant had limited seating our group had to sit at separate tables. The service was good and the food was excellent. Plenty of vino to drink and small portions of food which was a three course dinner. Will come again.

Seafood pasta and lasagna was nice. We had to ask for the drinks menu and the mixed salad was dressed and so salty that it was not edible. Recommend ordering the house wine which was nice. Ok experience.

Good food, we had the sardines as apperitivo, fish for the main plate. Food was generally well cooked and presented. It is a bit pricey, the fish was around 25 Euro, they add you the bread at 2 Euro and the service another 2 Euro....Was compensated by the fact that we've been outside in an alley, nice and quiet, even if it is near a main street. One of the waiters was a bit snobbish but the other one was friendly.More

Not great value for money. Had to ask for drink service and plates cleared before everyone had finished.

Al Peoceto Risorto was a breath of fresh air in Venice. The food was delicious, with some of the best pesto sauce I have ever had, and the gelato affogato was amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend Al Peoceto Risorto.
