This is my sixth day in Italy, and I have had great food so far. Until the visit to this restaurant. The service was absolutely the worst I have had across Italy, and the group of four people in front of me had to eat...separately due to having their meals brought about 20 minutes apart. When I finally received my pizza, it was barely lukewarm. It was so cold and hard that it was difficult to cut. I was given the wrong check. This place was a disaster.More

I don't like writing bad reviews but I felt it necessary after our experience. If you are reading this you should find another place to go. It may not feel like a tourist trap initially but it is. Mgmt/owner need to run this place for...the love of the food/experience which at the moment it is not. The staff are not trained correctly in food or beverages and the food itself was inedible. The gnocchi tasted like it was made from instant potatoes. I couldn't imagine an actual Italian or anyone trained in authentic Italian cuisine could have been cooking what was served. Not to mention there was no presentation whatsoever. The bread was served in a bag and plopped on the table and when it was obvious no one liked their food at our table no care was given. There are many places in this beautiful area that are far more worthy of your patronage. We asked our hotel (run by lovely local Italians) in the end and found a delicious, reasonably priced place. I regret not having done this sooner. A basic red flag that we were warned about was never to eat at the restaurants with photos of the food by the menus. Even though this place did not have photos of the food the overall feeling was we were duped.More

For starter, we had Cicchetti which are small plates or finger food accompanied by a glass of wine. These bites of Venetian tradition are both easy on the pockets and was very filling. We really enjoyed Cicchetti. For our main meal, we had Risi E...Bisi. Risi e Bisi is a simple meal made of rice and peas. The rice was very savory and was very well seasoned, although we were hoping to have some protein with our meal. Overall the service was great and the view was phenomenal. What a great restaurant.More

The restaurant is very nice, close to the San Marco square. It has the best lasagne we have ever tried.

Great place to dive into for a quick bite when strolling around Venice. Located conveniently near San Marco square. Attentive staff and generous servings. Had a high chair to accommodate our young daughter.

My kids loved the gnocchi, and I loved the lobster fettuccine. Reasonably priced for Venice as well, especially considering where you are.

I booked dinner for 13 of us via email. I tried my best to write in Italian and a perfect English message was sent back to me with my questions answered. It's hard to accommodate so many, who also require separate chits but the staff...were very helpful and did this for us. The food was so good we went back a second night. I had a seafood platter that had morsels of prawn, scampi. calamari and some sort of white fish. It was perfect. While they have meat and pasta dishes anything with seafood is special. Wine was good and the bottled water was inexpensive. It's about 100 steps from Piazza San Marco. An outstanding location but off the square which is nice.More

The food was very good. My son ordered the scampi, it was cooked well and the serving size was surprisingly decent. I tried the squid ink pasta which was nice, and my wife ordered the seafood past - it was very good. Service was good...and we had a very nice night there. I’d go back againMore
