The place is rather difficult to find for a regular passing by tourist. We searched for a good cafeteria and we were not disappointed. The place is a small climatic bar and the quality of drink is outstanding. The opening hours are somewhat strange :)

Stopped in here for a few post dinner drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly and the aperol spritz were good and reasonably priced - we ended up having 8! Good local bar. Would recommend

This cafe seemed the less touristic of all around the places ! That is why we went: good drinks and not overpriced as all the other, staff was so nice and friendly. I recommend it !

You can get coffee, desserts, snacks and drinks. The cannoli was quite good as was the cappuccino. Nothing to go crazy over but decent.

This was right around the corner from our hotel and we went in every night before we went back to our room. The staff are really nice and friendly. We only had drinks but the snack type food looked great.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
