We came across this gem by chance and were so glad that we got a table because when we left, the queue was down the passageway. The staff are lovely and helpful and put up with our Italian. The food was really nice and the...More

We popped in just for drinks a couple of times as it was close to our accommodation. Decided to eat there on our last night. The queue was out the door and on to the street but we decided to wait the 20 minutes to...More

We ate once at this restaurant, and had we not been late returning from a visit to Burano, would have done so a second time. This is a good place for local dishes, with good pasta and, of course, an emphasis on seafood. It is...More

After reading previous reviews we were a little hesitant, but we were recommended to visit this restaurant by a local. The food was amazing, staff were typical Venetian. Our waiter was very charismatic, funny and helpful but we could also see that locals appeared to...More

Go to this place patient. The food is great homestyle, classic Venetian. It is owner operated and has a classic charm. When busy, they will seat everyone they can and keep going. That can slow the service down and you may wait for things, but...More

Food was absolutely delicious BUT the waiter was very rude to us and also the menu made absolutely no sense. It says if you order any entre on the menu, then 2 ppl must order it. This makes it sound like a huge portion. We...More

This restaurant was recommended to me by my Italian host, and it was delicious! I could tell that there were some "regulars" there, which I thought was a good sign. At first I was a bit disappointed to see that some of the pasta dishes...More

The food was really great, the service too. But the prices are too high for the size of portions. You get too little for the price payed. Everything else was great.

Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime

Hi This restaurant is fish based and my wife, who is a vegetarian, ate fish . I can't recall any non fish dishes. If you give them a call they will tell you what's on the menu. In English
