We came for dinner after reading about this place in the Rough Guide book & in so glad we did. Modern decor in an old bull stable which was quirky & cool. It's hard to find really good food in Venice but the pizza here was really delicious! I had boar sausage one with pepper & mushroom and my husband... More

Not having booked a table we were friendly greeted and shown to a table after a quick check by the waitress. I believe most tables were actually booked for customers to arrive later. Large menue with plenty of Pasta, Pizza, Salads and meat dishes. I had excellent Pasta vongole, perfect grilled vegetables and a really large salad with seafood for... More

Ate here as it was close to our apartment. Menu is standard Venetian fare in a very stylish interior. Upscaled itself since we last came and the prices now reflect this. Good selection of wines.

A friend of mine lives in Venice and i asked her where to get the best pizza in Venice. She told me to come to Birraria La Corte. Actually she even gave us directions so we wouldn't miss it. They were closing up for the day, and only were serving pizza, which, obviously was fine with us, since that is... More

While it is possible to eat outside, the interior court of this pizza and beer stop is very nice and comfortable. Many pizzas to choose from and all good. Great crust! A tad more expensive than other pizza places, but still a good value for lunch.

We were strolling in San Polo which is one of my favourite places in Venice when we saw in lovely sunshine this trattoria. Since they had for lunch " spaghettoni alle vongole" (scallops) which our teenager grandson loves we decided to sit outside and enjoy the food, the charming campo, the warmth of the sun and some cool white wine.... My wife and I found this restaurant while out exploring Venice one evening. It looks nice from the outside and was nicely finished once we were inside. Staff were friendly and attentive and the pizzas we had were very nice. Would recommend to others.

Away from the hustle & bustle of San Marco Sq and the Rialto bridge. A modernist setting awaits, offering fantastic pizza and pasta and locally brewed craft beers. Big portions, reasonably priced and top quality.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
