The staff are not friendly at all , and they were actually really rude to us & this behavior was only to us I don't know why!! is it just because we are Arabs? It's the worst restaurant ever.

We went to Restaurant Wildner after the opera at La Fenice. We thought the food was very good. Service was slightly brusque, but efficient. We shared melon and ham, followed by linguine with Vongole and bottarga and pasta with beef ragu. With two glasses of...More

Horrible place!! Suddenly it was heavy rain, and everyone was going inside. The staff was so arrogant and said, that you can only stay here, if you order their Lunch (25€) They won't make Pizza. They really took advantage of the heavy rain. Awfully people...More

We read good things about this place, but we were unable to get seating for a party of seven unless we were inside. I think that took a lot away from our dining experience, otherwise I may have given it four stars. It's conveniently located...More

I came here as recommended by Cesare at Al Covo (a favorite place). All my dishes were lovely and the white wine by the glass was really good. Prices were reasonable for the class and location.

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

In the beautiful surroundings of restaurant Wildner's veranda you can enjoy some of the best traditional food in Venice, whilst being inebriated by the view of the lagoon. Restaurant Wildner was established in 1960 by the Fullin Family and it is visited by locals and tourists alike. Its comfortable and unhurried atmosphere is enhanced by the spectacular panoramic view of St Mark's Basin. Each day Luca Fullin selects the very best seasonal ingredients from Rialto market and from the network of suppliers we have spent a lifetime gathering. The ingredients are then prepared and cooked with care and simplicity, in order to make them shine thorugh a menu of traditional Venetian dishes. The menu is based mainly on fish and features classics like Baccala Mantecato, Sarde in Saor and Antipasto Misto, as well as a seasonal selection of dishes. The wines are all handpicked by Luca, who personally visits the vineyards to select the best natural wines, produced in small quantities and without the use of any artificial additives or chemicals. The restaurant is open all day, and is the perfect place to enjoy a truly Venetian dining experience, with the gondolas and the Island of San Giorgio as the most beautiful backdrop to a romantic dinner or a special occasion. Wildner is in the "Slow Food Chef Alliance". By using Slow Food Presidia in the menus, they support small scale local producers who use traditional methods and safeguard native breeds and local plant varieties.
