We met the “Osteria” accidentally because it was getting late to have the lunch. The pasta was ok but the salad was absolutely awful: the lettuce leaf was lying in the bowl in all its splendour, apparently the cook forgot the knives at home! Unfortunately it wasn´t the only misfortune: the lettuce and other parts of the salad weren´t clean.... More

Located in Old City between the Adige river and Piazza delle Erbe, in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten paths, Carega Osteria, serves locals and value-minded visitors. They have all needed for simple but delicious dinner, plus a funky polenta-making machine. Local wines are good and inexpensive, service - good and decor - cozy. I recommend! Just this English-only music...... More

Two friends and me trued to have dinner on a Saturdat night, but it was full. The day after we came for lunch and sat in the terrace. The ambient is cozy and nice and the staff helpful althought their English is not very good. They have a changing menu of main dishes for 7€. The dishes were good and... More

Very quaint but lively bar off the main tourist track. The staff are friendly and attentive and overall it offers good value for money. There is no fixed menu, you need to ask what is available on that particular day but if you are a horse lover be aware that a number of dishes contain horse meat. Don't be put... More

Quiet out of the way Osteria with a more extensive menu than it looks at first and delicious bar snacks (although check out the contents of the croquets before ordering as one contains horse - but was still delicious). The pesto lasagne is yunmy as is the obligatory spritz aperol. We were lucky enough to attend a very entertaining live... More

We spotted this bar while wandering around and returned for drinks and dinner. The food options were limited but we really enjoyed what we had. My eggplant parmigiana was excellent. Good prices and great service! YMMV

I was in Verona for 3 days and ate there every evening! Nice and friendly staff and excellent value for money as well as a little further away from all the more touristic places i don't really favour. Delicious food and wines. Thank you all @ la carega I will definitely go back ther whenever I'll be in Verona.

Not much more to say. The Osteria a la carega is offering a lot. A little bit off the streams of tourists, you can eat very good food, drink tasty wines and relax from your shopping tours or visits to the countless museums and churches nearby. Prices are reasonable, service is very friendly, speedy and attentively and you have no... More

We took a glas of Franciacorta and had a great rest at this little nice place. If you are nearby, stop and take a drink here.
