Creative menu. Fabulously presented and tasty food. Great service. Fantastic wine menu. Try the local Suovia Monte Carbonara. Perfect accompaniment to fish. We had the scallops and finely sliced sepia as starters followed by rissotto. All dishes were light and delicious. One not to be missed if visiting Verona. Recommend booking as it does get busy, particularly if you wish... More

The Restaurant is located on the edge of a very nice Piazza. It has a courtyard where you can enjoy an awesome atmosphere. The inside of the Restaurant is kind of boring but there is a little secret room in the basement, which makes the place very special. There is no need to tell something about the excellence of the... Very pretty and elegant restaurant, therefore me and my partner decided to try it whilst on an adventure in Verona. I ordered lamb chops which weren't as nice as I thought it would be for the price we paid. On the other hand starters were very tasty and partner has ordered beef cheeks - delicious! Service and waiter very ignorant... More

With such a good ranking I expected something more from the food. I ordered lamb chops with a glass of wine. The bread that was offered before dishes was dry and hard to eat. The lamb could be rated as good, but in my opinion, the portion was small for the price paid. Afterwards I was charged 3 euro per... More

Dear Daryna, thank you for your review. Like the picture you post i don't think that 200 gr of lamb plus potatoes and spinach is a small portion. If you are interested looking to other tables instead of looking on your dish you should know that the table next to you received a complementary dish because their brother called us... More

We had a memorable lunch in this restaurant which is located in a historic building off one of Verona's most famous Piazza's. We had the two tasting menu's and were thus able to sample a wide range of the restaurant's dishes. The food was fantastic and the service professional and friendly. There are roman ruins below the restaurant and my... More

Enjoyed a well prepared meal at Maffei, backed up by a good local wine list and friendly service. Unfortunately we felt really rushed, and despite asking for a couple of minutes between courses they kept arriving one after the other. Ended up having four courses of food with matching wine and dessert in just over an hour, which is unheard... More

Tried papardelle ragout with mashrooms and ham, tortelli with seafood ragout. Drank white and red wine. Everything was magnificent and the prices were really rational. The service was fast, eager to help and spoke fluent english.

Been yesterday with friends and my fiance, nice location good wine choice. The food is good but, for me doesn't have personality. You could find same food, made with same ingredients everywhere in the world. I think, but is my personal opinion i would expect from a restaurant in the heart of ancient Verona something more linked to the territory... More

We were walking in the evening in Verona and we run into this nice restaurant with seats outside in a open courtyard and after reading the menu we decided to stay. Great choice: we had a couple of starters, squid and red shrimps, then octopus and tortelloni with seafood. A delicious dinner. Then we had an excellent licorice's cream brûlée.... More
