Al Tuguri wants to be a fine dining restaurant but they dont succeed. The calm and quiet atmosphere is typical fine dining, people speak with whispering low voices. The staff is gracious, low-key and friendly but not educated enough about what they are serving. Lets move on to the food. Al Tuguri has two pre-set menues: meat and fish. We... More

This place came highly recommended, and we were not disappointed. It is a smallish place, but they have different floors. We were seated on the top floor, but service was still excellent to our surprise. We had a great series of dishes, good wines, pleasant service. Highly recommended!

Michelin recommended restaurant situated close to the sea walkway. Serves delicious local food. Freshly caught fish is the speciality. Not cheap but worth the money. The chef and his family serve the guests. Romantic interior. Reservations are recommended.

Perfectly good reception and service. Food a bit mixed. One lamb was very good, but for me the vegetarian menu was very disappointing. I fed back to the owner that in particular there was far too much (cooking) oil with the pasta (also true of the roast vegetables). The response was patronising - he explained it was an inevitable part... More

Al Tuguri was a perfect option on our first night in Alghero. It was not too crowded and was actually quite quiet when we got there at 10:00. But they were open! I asked the waiter to just bring me something nice and he came back with two different fish steaks - one delicious piece of Tuna (maybe a little... More

We were recommended this little restaurant off the beaten track by our villa hosts during our stay and very grateful to them, one of the nicest meals ever!! It's only a small restaurant, with 2 floors and a waiting area downstairs (together with some very cool toilets). From the outside it's very understated, down a small cobbled street in the... More

Visited on the recommendation of the Sardinian owner of a local deli back home in London ans was not disappointed. My wife and eldest daughter are both vegetarian and whilst we find Italy including Sardinia & Sicily to be one of the best countries where they and my other daughter and i who are not vegetarian can all get a... We took both menus in between the 5 of us. One was seafood and the other one meat. I had the meat menu. I am not a big fan of lamp chops but my friends insisted that I should try. He was right, I had never tasted such lamp chops. All the dishes were absolutely perfect and I will come... More

This is sort of Sardinian fine dining . The service is good and the food is fantastic. Would definately dine there again should we visit Alghero. Remember to book in advance as otherwise you wont get a table as it is very busy and we see many customers turned away. Restaurant was a little more expensive than others we visited... More
